America’s REAL moral problem

This country was based in the idea that no one should be able to force their beliefs on others. Everyone who was religiously oppressed in the old world came here. Puritans, Quakers, Jews, Lutherans, Amish. They all took asylum in America. But things are beginning to change.
The old moral code of America is beginning to wear thin. In the old days, people could think what they want. But in recent months, we have seen a huge amount of politicians trying to force their beliefs on the American people. From DOMA in 1994 to the FMA of last week, we seem to be in the age of moral decline.
On top of preaching, politicians are claiming that they want to “save” America from moral decline. I say, real American values tell us not to make racist, sexist, or homophobic laws. Haven’t we learned from our mistakes? Did the women’s lib. movement change and the civil rights movement nothing?

Be wary my friends, for I see a lot of moral legislation coming in the future. And now, more then ever before, we must fight it tooth and nail. We must not sit idly by and wait for organizations like Lambda Legal to make the moves for us. GBLT rights are human rights, and we must all do something to stop moral legislation. Here are some things anyone can do to help:

1.Write an article or letter for your local paper on civil/human rights.
2.Write your senators, representatives, and our president.
3.If you live in a large city, look into local human rights groups
4.If you are in a human rights group, talk to the organization about doing a write in, or a political rally.
5.Create pamphlets to debug those made by conservative groups.
6.Many schools have GSAs or other HR groups. Join one.
