Cain Settlement Money Makes a Mockery of First Amendment

One of the women who accused Herman Cain of sexual misconduct in the 1990s wants to tell her side of the story, but she's constrained by a confidentiality agreement. But the mere idea that one party should be able to pay another to waive his or her First Amendment rights smacks of an attempt to undermine the Constitution.

And one of the women's attorney has suggested he has in fact broken the agreement by bad-mouthing the two of them.

If government were keeping her from talking about it, the Constitution/First Amendment might be involved.
