"Occupy" Participants Beware: Agents Provocateur Like The One at Air Space Museum Are Threat

It's become clear that besides pepper-spray wielding police there is another threat to the "Occupy" movement-- agents provocateur.

The people who planned the protest against killer drones at the National Air and Space museum wanted to make a statement and send a message. They did not want to scare families and children or shut down the museum.

That was not on the agenda of admitted agent provocateur Patrick Howley, assistant editor at the right wing publication American Spectator. He brags about running ahead of other protesters, into the main museum area, in the process shocking and startling tourists. Howley reports in his braggadocio filled American Spectator article,

We can't verify his claim of forcing himself in and sprinting across the museum floor or even understand why, as an editor, he would do such a thing. What we do know is that his triumphant claim to be the "only one who made it through the doors," is patently inaccurate. So much for being the assistant editor of a news organization. He was absolutely not the only one who made it through the doors. Here's a photo by anti-war veteran, Bill Perry, of the three story banner several marchers displayed in the museum.

There are pictures of other protesters (whom I know personally) inside the museum and unfurling banners. It is a lie for this twit to declare he's the only one who got inside.

Somebody should send his confession that he posted online to the police. He already admitted that he deserved to get a double-dose of pepper spray in the face. He deserved the cuffs and mug shot as well.

11. FBI plant banned by mosque – because he was too extreme

The spying game wasn't all it was cracked up to be for Craig Monteilh, a convicted criminal recruited by the FBI to investigate the march of radical Islam into Southern California. His endless talk of violent "jihad" so alarmed worshippers at the local mosque, that they took out a restraining order against him.

Monteilh spent 15 months pretending to be Farouk al-Aziz, a French Syrian in search of his religious roots. He prayed five times a day at the Islamic Centre in Irvine, Orange County, wearing white robes with a camera hidden in one of its buttons, and carried a set of car keys that contained a secret listening device.

The enthusiastic attempt to catch local Muslims discussing terror campaigns backfired, however, when community leaders went to the police with fears that the suddenly devout young man, who got up to pray at 4am, had become a radical in their midst.

Seriously, no one should object to well-planned surveillance.

-- Eliminate drugs

-- Protect protesters from right wing predation

-- Get control of fire rusks and such as explosive hazards related to gasoline

-- The usual serve-and-protect reasons that we have police

Incitement... no-no-no.

The Bureau has been notorious for failed use of paid informants. Results oriented management, not quality oriented. They also see informants uniformly as lesser creatures -- not sufficiently committed to the details of personal appearance, for example -- and it shows. Some things they do quite well, but not this.

NYPD has to have people embedded at OWS NYC. Living in tents, mostly. Good.

Apart from the crazy Anthony Balogna, NYPD are pretty damn good at managing police problems.

It's the only thing I can think of, if something like that happened
