Obama's Flip-Flop on EPA Rule Costs Him Credibility, Us Lives
President Obama has already spent, presumably, a hefty chunk of taxpayer money developing this policy, only to throw the entire thing out when he starts getting some heat from right-wing business interests. What's he thinking here? I'll tell you: He's thinking about his own political future, and he's putting it ahead of Americans' best interests.

3. The article is misleading and inaccurate.
That's a nice way of pointing out the author is lying.

Obama never stated support for this particular regulation. The author said he did and is a liar.

9. It makes sense to wait for new info.
Going back to 2006 isn't keeping current with what has been done. Plus it seems some of the issues are redundant and addressed elsewhere.

in his bid for re-election. And like every politician before and after him, he thinks that his re-election is more important than ANY outcome in the real world for actual people or any other form of plant or animal life.

10. To some here on DU, making sure that he's a One-Time President
seems to be the most important item on the agenda!

13. Obama is doing a fine job all by himself
His one term will make Jimmy Carter's look like a smashing success. Obama has singlehandedly resuscitated the Republican Party when it was on life support. Kudos to president bipartisan punching-bag. Uniting the left and the right in their hatred of his policies.

14. Don't Get Me Wrong ...
I still plan to vote for Obama. I found his action here unfortunate, but he's still infinitely preferable to Rick Perry or any of the other teabaggers. Don't mistake my criticism here for a recommendation not to vote for him. The alternative is scary as hell.

11. Appologies in advance - You betcha!
Although, you're a bit of a stopped clock yourself if you think his primary consideration is his political career. That was indeed the consideration of individuals like Dick Cheney, who ran/run the show from "behind the throne". However, I think, Obama's consideration is primarily post political. With, I strongly suspect, a(n un)healthy admixture of phyisical survival of his person, kith and kin. It would not surprise me at all to learn that the entire US is being held hostage through the persons of Malia and Sasha.

The idea of a "family president" is bloody stupid. The ideal president is a tieless tyrant capable of staying one jump ahead of all those who might wish to cut him down: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Havelock_Vetinari
