2. "...you'd know what a drag it is to see you." one of the best lines ever in the top ten =>
You got a lotta nerve
To say you are my friend
When I was down
You just stood there grinning

You got a lotta nerve
To say you got a helping hand to lend
You just want to be on
The side that’s winning

You say I let you down
You know it’s not like that
If you’re so hurt
Why then don’t you show it

You say you lost your faith
But that’s not where it’s at
You had no faith to lose
And you know it

I know the reason
That you talk behind my back
I used to be among the crowd
You’re in with

Do you take me for such a fool
To think I’d make contact
With the one who tries to hide
What he don’t know to begin with

You see me on the street
You always act surprised
You say, “How are you?” “Good luck”
But you don’t mean it

When you know as well as me
You’d rather see me paralyzed
Why don’t you just come out once
And scream it

No, I do not feel that good
When I see the heartbreaks you embrace
If I was a master thief
Perhaps I’d rob them

And now I know you’re dissatisfied
With your position and your place
Don’t you understand
It’s not my problem

I wish that for just one time
You could stand inside my shoes
And just for that one moment
I could be you

Yes, I wish that for just one time
You could stand inside my shoes
You’d know what a drag it is
To see you

3. #27
Hey,
Interesting link, thanks for sharing this. He is one of my all time heroes. I like # 27, while the bad boys of Rock n Roll The Rolling Stones changed their lyrics to "Let's spend the night together" to "Let's spend some time together" to appear on Ed Sullivan, Bob refused to be on the show period because they would not let him sing the song he wanted to.

Peace

5. Mark Knopfler AND Mick Taylor on the same album? YES!
From the 49 year old Bob...one of my favorites from his "later period."

13. Bob was around 41 or so when he made "Infidels"
It came out in 1983 and Zimmy was born in 1941.

7. He's timeless.
This is from an interview offered on www.bobdylan.com

What's your take on politics?
Politics is entertainment. It's a sport. It's for the well groomed and well heeled. The impeccably dressed. Party animals. Politicians are interchangeable.
Don't you believe in the democratic process?
Yeah, but what's that got to do with politics? Politics creates more problems than it solves. It can be counter-productive. The real power is in the hands of small groups of people and I don't think they have titles.

9. Dylan was the soundtrack of my early years, before Motown and
World music came into the mix...

Happy Birthday Bob!

All the best to Bob Dylan. May he continue to blaze trails for another 70 years.

14. I have seen Bob Dylan 3 times...
and I would go many more. He is amazing and he always brings amazing musicians with him. He is all business. He just gets up there and plays.
