Assassin maintains he can't remember shooting RFK
LOS ANGELES (AP) — More than four decades after Sen. Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated, his convicted murderer wants to go free for a crime he says he can't remember.

It is not old age or some memory-snatching disease that has erased an act Sirhan Bishara Sirhan once said he committed "with 20 years of malice aforethought." It's been this way almost from the beginning. Hypnotists and psychologists, lawyers and investigators have tried to jog his memory with no useful result.

Now a new lawyer is on the case and he says his efforts have also failed.

"There is no doubt he does not remember the critical events," said William F. Pepper, the attorney who will argue for Sirhan's parole Wednesday. "He is not feigning it. It's not an act. He does not remember it."

1. So what if he can't remember it?
What difference could that possibly make?

2. Maybe he didn't kill RFK
Sirhan Sirhan was likely just the scapegoat. There is good reason to believe others did the killing.

Planning to write a film script about the case, Shane O’Sullivan, an independent researcher, investigated the assassination of RFK. But, O’Sullivan found much more than he had hoped.

On Monday night, the BBC broadcast O’Sullivan’s report on their high-profile programme, Newsnight. O’Sullivan’s findings shocked many people. Working through an exhaustive analysis of videotapes made at the Ambassador Hotel on the night of RFK’s assassination, O’Sullivan identified three figures as former agents of the CIA. Two of the agents O’Sullivan identified could be seen moving away from the hotel pantry shortly after the shooting of RFK.

Following his preliminary identifications, O’Sullivan presented the video images to more authoritative sources, men who knew the three agents personally. While there was a slender degree of uncertainty (circa 5-10%) the men in the videos were positively identified as the former CIA agents:

David Sanchez Morales;

Gordon Campbell and

George Joannides.

3. Sirhan was the fall guy and he can't remember anything as he
was a CIA mind-control experimental unit. He may or may not have actually shot RFK. RFK getting shot was NO FUCKING LONE NUT GUNMAN ACCIDENT.

6. I wish
Rosie Grier couldn't remember squeezing the life out of this scum.

OK, let him loose on the streets of any American city. He won't make it to the city limits.

9. RFK is still dead and HE was seized at the scene with gun in hand....
TOUGH SHIT if he has twisted his mind into directions that allow it to lose its past.

This is a man who - whether alone or with assistance - forever silenced a true leader, who I believe would have changed the course of history in profound ways (Re: Vietnam, culture wars, poverty, education, a government never touched by Watergate or its true lessons of "just don't get caught", etc.).

His crime is not just a single murder but also aiding and abetting the nightmare that has unfolded in the following 43 years of leaderless and spineless Democrats that has followed.

Fuck Sirhan and rot you motherfucker. You're just goddamn lucky to be breathing and I will be damned if you ever again take a breath of free air!

10. All the reasons you give are great reasons to give this further examination.
How did this guy get so close to RFK? Amazing isn't it how any opposition to right wing military wishes ends up silenced?
Fuck Sirhan indeed, but I've had the feeling for a long time he was just a dupe, same as Oswald. They just didn't have a handy Texas conservative around to shoot him too. Besides, it would have been too obvious.

11. In a way, it kind of is obvious who gets knocked off in the last 50 years.
The kind of people who end up dead.

15. He was there with a gun in hand that he fired. That's good enough to keep him locked up for the
rest of his life. And, yes, there are probably some others who are complicit and deserve to be behind bars too.
