1. Pretty incredible
I didn't know you could get an abortion on the House Floor, never mind while giving a speech

5. Agree

I'm pro-choice, but that seems to be taking things a bit too far.

The Senate is less crowded, and probably a better place.

2. What a heroic statement
Smith ought to be ashamed of himself.

7. If he could be ashamed of himself,
he would be a caring and reasonable person. He isn't.

3. K & R - she is far braver than the republican bullies
For any freepers who may be about.....now that you have had your vote against funding Planned Parenthood (which changes nothing with regard to federal funding of abortions) I hope you can live with yourselves knowing that thousands of women who get physical checkups, cancer screenings, and yes, birth control education and services that have nothing to do with abortions, will be denied care and their lives endangered by your self serving and self righteous hypocrisy.

6. I applaud her bravery. But I hate that word "admit".
It smacks of doing something illegal, or at least morally wrong. You "admit" to an affair, or cheating. Having a perfectly legal medical procedure because you want it or needed it is nothing to "admit" to. Do you ever hear of anyone "admitting" to having heart surgery?

8. Of course, SHE did not use the word "admit" in her comments. That's the MEDIA
spin, which we know follows the money.

Her actual comments:

“I really planned to speak about something else. But the gentleman from New Jersey just put my stomach in knots. Because I’m one of those women he spoke about just now. I had a procedure at 17 weeks pregnant with a child who moved from the vagina into the cervix. And that procedure that you just described is a procedure that I endured.
“I lost the baby. And for you to stand on this floor and suggest that somehow this is a procedure that is either welcomed or done cavalierly or done without any thought, is preposterous.”

Someone needs to use a grapefruit spoon on the eye of the "gentleman from New Jersey."

9. Yes, exactly.
And he's no gentleman, that's for sure.
