Professor Juan Cole's View on UPRISING in EGYPT. Many DU'ers Respect his Opinion...So:

I've loved the MSNBC STUFF in their reporting that seemed so FAIR TO ME..UNTIL I went to Democracy Now and heard Professor Juan Cole who was CORRECT on IRAQ and has been CREDIBLE from then on.

Listen to this, Because Professor Cole has NOT BEEN INVITED TO ANY SHOW ON MSNBC...and OF COURSE not Invited on CNN! So....Juan Cole has been a beacon to Lefty Democrats..and so his voice is represented on DEMOCRACY NOW! I've watched CNBC and Blitzer and been through the wonderful reports MSNBC is presenting...and MSNBC almost convinced me to BELIEVE IN THEIR REPORTING....UNTIL THIS!

I'm a big believer in listening to ALL SIDES...and why was Professor Juan Cole LEFT OUT of ALL DISCUSSION? Is he not CREDIBLE? WHAT ARE THE CHARGES AGAINST HIM...if he's NOT CREDIBLE? WHY does he NOT have a VOICE ON NATIONAL MEDIA?

Anyway....listen and decide. I don't, personally, know WHO to BELIEVE anymore...but Professor COLE is a LEFTY that many of us have READ FOR YEARS. So, as the "Last Word" ....I want to know what HE IS SAYING ...because I'm so CONFUSED ABOUT WHAT'S GOING ON IN EGYPT! I don't want to let the Mainstream Media filter for ME! So I ad his VOICE INTO THE MIX.

WHAT DO YOU WHO MIGHT READ THIS THINK about what he says? :eyes: :wtf:

Professor Juan Cole on Wiki Leaks and the Revolution ...the opposition from the REAL LEFT.

Hundreds of thousands have taken to the streets across Egypt today in the fourth day of unprecedented protests against the 30-year rule of President Hosni Mubarak. We speak with University of Michigan professor of history Juan Cole. "The Arab world has seen, in the last three decades, a series of Arab nationalist regimes, relatively secular, which have become increasingly sclerotic," Cole says.

1. Juan Cole is one of the few voices of truth in a forest of lies and misrepresentations.

7. Which explains why he's ignored by Corporate McPravda...
...who are interested only in keeping the Have-Mores in power and the masses in the dark about their condition.

3. He does not tow the line on Israel.
That disqualifies a person from the CNN network overseen by Wolf Blitzer.

5. Our mainstream media is not interested in the truth
Seriously, they don't care. They want us to only here the "correct" viewpoints. It doesn't matter if other sources are right or have a good track record of prediction.

They (the mainstream media) are a propaganda arm of the system. No, not overtly manipulated by the government and corporations, it is much much more subtle and thus perhaps much more effective.
