Where's the change and when's it coming ?
Maybe it's me, maybe I don't get it. I don't know but I believe I'm right when I say there is none and don't look for any to come except
for change that will benefit the wealthy owners of this nation and put the working stiff further under the control of the elite.
Sites like Du and others are great places to come and rant but what change do they really achieve ? Talking about all the issues that Washington
is out of touch on, watching the news clips that are at the most entertaining, but what are we really doing to change anything ?
The longer we talk about it the longer and harder it will be to change anything and by that time it will be too late. If you think Kent State was
a big ordeal, wait until the real revolution begins.

You can see it now with what they are doing to Julian Assange. They don't want us to know the truth about anything they do. They just want us
to be comfortable enough to be able to go to work (the ones who can still enjoy having a job when hiring from American companies is up overseas)
and do twice as much for the same pay because they downsize to make more profits while they recorded record profits this year.
Just like banks who have trillions in reserve and still won't loan to small companies to grow or hire the unemployed. They just want to sit on it
like Marley did.

Plus they are beginning to rewrite history. With each book that comes out by the very same people who began this anti-American Dream we used
to live, they make up lies about why, what and how they did things. Then they want to blame it on us for not being patriotic when all we see is
our representatives acting like two different tribes who want to win, win , win ! Maybe it's me but are there two Americas ? Whether red or blue we
send these people to D.C. to work together to solve these problems but all we see are cat fights every day. It's all about them, not us anymore.

Take the simplest issue like taxing the wealthy. They gave the 99'ers 13 extra months of unemployment to shut them up for a year and gave the wealthy
TWO years of the Bush tax breaks. If you are into logic, who needs the money more ? And, after 10 years of hearing it's the tax breaks for the wealthy that create jobs, THEN WHERE ARE THE FREAKING JOBS ?
They are just pawns and puppets for the corporations that keep these evil people (except Bernie Sanders and Alan Grayson) in their cushy jobs that we pay for.

The only way to get back to the America we knew is to fight for it. We did it in the 60's - early 70's and stopped the war in Vietnam. Well, what's to stop us from doing the same thing now ?

FEAR.

Fear of losing your job if you miss a day at work, fear of losing your benefits, fear of losing your home, etc. So fear actually works, but they are using it against their own countrymen and
playing nice to foreigners like that thief Karzai and his drug lord brother. Sure, give billions in aid to Pakistan just to have them tells us what we can or cannot do. Went to war in Iraq and
right away $9 Billion went missing and they still aren't concerned about it but we had to fight for 9/11 responders. Sure, when you put a 24 year old fresh from college in control of that process,
it's easy for a person like Paul Bremmer to take it and divvy it up with those involved in the lie that got us into Iraq and put it in offshore accounts. Why do you think the Swiss didn't want us
to know who had bank accounts in their country ? Can you imagine if we knew who had offshore accounts and how much was in them ? It would be enough to solve most of our problems but
having a tax haven is more important for those who think they can take it with them. God forbid they do something else with their money like Bill Gates and a few others are.

So we can sit and read and listen to Youtube clips and get really angry. But what do we do in the end ? Nothing. We don't organize rallies like Jon Stewart or Glen Beck. We don't even have concerts
for the needy in those lands like we did for famine relief in Africa. We should be holding them every month here in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA for our own people.
Nah, that would seem so awful, the land of the free and home of the brave trying to help their fellow countrymen, not in this land of wealth. How dare we think of ourselves !

It takes more than one man or person and actually you need connections to get something like this done. So maybe if one of these websites for Peace or a website like DU would begin organizing
demonstrations once or more a month and the unemployed attended so those who are lucky to still have a job don't have to fear losing it we might accomplish something because as it stands
now they know they can get away with anything, even taking your house though you're up to date on your mortgage payments because some bank hires someone to stamp your papers without
bothering to look over them.

While they can keep screwing us, then I think it's time we start screwing them. Time to take to the streets and voice our opinion and outrage.
If people in Iran can do it knowing they can be picked up and put in prison, tortured and put to death for protesting, then we surely can too. It's either keep complaining and BOHICA. It's up to all of you.
Those students at Kent state would be ashamed of us all for sitting on our arses for this long.

Bend Over Here It Comes Again = Bohica

Must be an existential threat.

Well I like it, and I recommended it.

5. As soon as there is an organized movement to protest, I'm on board.
This old lady is concerned for the welfare of all US citizens, the majority of whom are in the same leaky boat as I. My age prevents me from doing the nitty-gritty work, I have some physical problems. I will sure as heck be within the crowd of protesters should that ever happen. I saw and lived through the Vietnam protests. I have done my share of writing, e-mailing and calling. Nothing works. I really do believe that we can change things only with a mass protest that might scare the heck out of those in power who make decisions that are detrimental to our fellow Americans.

Anyone in the Boston area who is willing to begin a mass demonstration against our wretched policies
can expect to see me there. I've had enough.

On my street there are 6 houses. Four are for sale, 2 of them in foreclosure. Pathetic in this country.
I went to my fuel delivery company today and put myself on a 100 gallon delivery. I have to monitor the tank and call. No more automatic delivery. One full tank will be $1000.00. I have to live on one SS check per month. It is less than a tank of fuel. I will, like millions of others, try to juggle every dollar to make it through.

We neither expected this economic mess nor do we deserve it. The rich get richer, the rest get screwed.
Yes, this old lady is angry.

6. You nail it
FEAR!

Fear of losing what you got and hope (in vain) to get. Waking up from that fear, you can smell and taste the fear of Them, TPTB. What a foul smell!

Having woken up and now free from fear, there is no need to be angry and feed the pitiful fear and anger of TPTB with your own. Just don't give any attention, negative or positive, to the attention whores in Washington, Mass Media, Military etc. banksters and minions. Forgedabouddem. They mean nothing.

Free from fear, it's time to live our lives in love and beauty and creativity. We have the Greatest Power of all, the Power to transform fear into love and compassion. And that's all the power we ever need.
