Tea Party Siezes mantle of change _ ABC news
Edited on Tue Oct-19-10 06:34 PM by JohnWxy
ABC news poll shows 50+% think tea party could bring change to washington. Feel like commenting? use link below:

This overall result contrasts with a related question in an ABC News/Washington Post poll earlier this month. In that survey, Americans by nearly 2-1 -- 63-32 percent -- thought the Tea Party movement could do little to "change the culture of Washington" -- clearly a different metric, with the "culture of Washington" perhaps seen as more resistant to change than "the way the government operates." Republicans and independents are much more apt to think the Tea Party can change the way the government operates than to say it can change Washington's culture. Most Democrats, by contrast, don't think it can do either.

1. We are not after change for change's sake.
I doubt 55% of the people want tea party changes if they knew what they were.

2. The teabaggers could change the culture by making it worse, i.e., with more hatred, pig-headedness
and viciousness. There would be several senators even worse than DeMint - hard to believe, but with Angle and the rest of crowd it would be worse. Since it only takes one of them to stop any legislation, it would be a zoo.

3. I really urge people to share these sentiments on media sites like the one I gave link to in OP
It might be nice to see some comments from others than the idiots who post so many comments on these sites.
