It was bound to happen, and my blood is absolutely boiling. The cast of characters are as predictable as the day is long, yet we let it happen. The Disaster in the Gulf has finally exposed our chickens, and now they've come home to roost.
Start with an incessant, orgiastic need for oil at cheap prices. Add a fragile environment to the mix. Enter the republicanist oil barons and backroom dealmakers to build monstrosities of environmental terror. Finally, ensure that corners are cut for safety reasons to insure more profits for the republican elite.
Yes, folks, Halliburton is mixed up in this. They are the primary culprit that their flaws in the cementing process caused this disaster.
HEADS MUST ROLL!!!
While the hypocrite republican bastards are screaming about the federal response, Obama is coolly dispatching authorities to the region. In addition, he's also sending legal professionals to fully assess the true damage of this horrendous event. There is only one solution:
1. Ban ALL DRILLING....PERIOD!! There is NO GOOD REASON for drilling, UNLESS you want to pad the pockets of greedy oil executives and, in extension, the republican party.
2. Force all oil companies to dismantle their existing rigs, at THEIR expense. Everywhere. NO EXCEPTIONS.
3. Criminalize all oil profiteering, including significant jail time, for the republicanist executives shamelessly profiteering from this destructive industry.
4. Bring Halliburton on the Senatorial carpet to explain how their negligence in operations caused the death of 11 people and, more significantly, destroyed much of the gulf for decades, including the probably extinction of several species and the irreversible damage to the local region. Dick Cheney should be on the hot seat, followed by a quick trip to the criminal courts for prosecution, conviction, sentencing, and incarceration.
This disaster has shown that our greed for oil, our disregard for the environment, and finally, our republicanist masturbatory desire for oil profits has exposed our dark side. Obama MUST take advantage of this unique opportunity to educate the populace and, more importantly, enact the overdue regulations that will stop drilling forever, and protect our fragile environment.
