Boehner says he doesn't trust the President be bipartisan. REALLY? WHAT THE FUCK HAS THE PRESIDENT

BEEN DOING FOR A YEAR BUT PRACTICALLY BEGGING THE CORPORATE LOBBYIST PARTY TO NOT FIGHT HIM IN TRYING TO CLEAN UP THERE MESSES!

HE DOESN'T TRUST THE PRESIDENT?????? LIKE BOEHNER AND THE CORPORATE LOBBYIST PARY ARE INTERESTED IN BEING BIPARTISAN!

Let me see, Boehner, does "We will be the party of "NO" sound very biparrtisan to you? And how the about DeMint's: "We'll make Health Care Reform Obama's Waterloo". does that sound very bipartisan to you????

The Corporate Lobbyist party says they care about jobs, AMerica and recovering from the economic disaster they created .. the REPUBLICAN DYSTOPIA. But not one Republican voted for the stimulus package in Feb 2009! Not one Republican voted for the jobs stimulus bill in December!

Hey Boehner, just what the fuck do you bastards care about? You are so intent upon keeping Obama and the Democrats from being succussful in fixing this REPUBLICAN DYSTOPIA ...DO YOU GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WHO NEED JOBS???

John Boehner questioning the President whose been bending over backwards to get Republican participation in government (to absolutely NO AVAIL) is beyond fucking belief! The hypocrisy is astounding, really astounding.

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/44/2010/02/john-boehner-greets-obama-over.html|John Boehner greets Obama overtures with skepticism - WaPo>

Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), a senior Democratic leader, said he hopes the new Obama effort will set up a clash of ideas between the two parties, ending what he called "a free rein in attacking the Obama agenda."

DAMN! COULD IT BE TRUE? DEMOCRATS CALLING THEM OUT ON DISINFORMATION (a nice word for LIES)? I'LL BELIEVE IT WHEN I SEE IT.

1. Boner keeps doing this because the liberal media refuse to call him on it
I'm not sure I blame republicans for their obstructionism, but the press knows whats going on and legitimizes it.

It's OK for the administration to call out the opposition party, but they need to toss a few barbs at the media while they're at it.

5. I couldn't agree more. The media talking heads like to keep saying "Gee Mr. President , your
plans for bi-partisanship aren't working? You seem to be blowing it? What's your problem (smart guy), Huhhhhhh?"

Of course they never ask the Republicans "well, why did not one Republican vote for the stimulus bill? Especially, since you guys caused this economic disaster?" ...No they never 'thought' to ask that. The fact that the GOP are completely opposed to working with Obama is Obama's fault. They have forgotten that Boehner said: "We're going to be the party of 'no'". Or that DeMint said: "WE'll make Health Care Reform Obama's Waterloo." Real responsible public service. They don't give a shit about the public (unless they can come up with big campaign deductions or nice high paying jobs for their (GOP) retirements). The GOP's constituency is the Corporations (and the very wealthy).

The Democrats should NOT treat the media as noncombatants. They act like everything is the Democrats responsibility when they know they have to get legislation passed and the GOP is making it so they have to have a super majority to get anything passed. As far as the media are concerned there is no sabotage by the GOP.

...maybe then Obama will see that dealing with them is a lost cause.

Let's be Democrats, for Pete's sake--in the same way that Newt Gingrich and ilk were
Republicans when they took over Congress in 1994. Gingrich and friends wrote their
little "Contract With America" without any help from Democrats, and the Republicans
certainly didn't apologize for being "partisan" nor did they try to include Democrats.

The Gingrich Republicans insisted that the people voted them in and that meant they
had a mandate. The Democrats were told to sit down and shut the hell up.

Interesting that today, our Democrats have a larger majority in Congress than the Republicans
had in 1994.

But we continue to play like ineffectual hand wringing goofballs who can't accomplish
anything unless we have a super-duper 98 percent majority.

It's crazy!

8. Well, when I see the likes of Baucus, and Conrad kill health care.
I see bought off Dodd killing financial reform. I see my Senator The Other Nelson (D-FL) do everything he can to protect insurance companies, what am I supposed to think. And don't even get me started on Blanche Lincoln and Evan Bayh. Our VP who was once known as Biden (D-MBNA) is another.

Now, explain this part about blocking out reality to me again.

Thanks for the compliment on the name.:hi:

9. i don't know how to break this to ya, but Democrats are not little Jesus Christs running around.

Also, not all policemen are 'good-guys', and Santa isn't real.

Generally speaking, most adults living in the U.S. understand that the GOP have been stalwarts for generatiions for business.cororate interests. they have opposed worker safety andhealth laws, minimum wage adjustments, consulmelr protection laws the list goes on. Without the democratic party we would have none of the things listed in prefious sentence.

NOw, that said that does not mean you should close your eyes and trust everybody totally. HTis does not mean ALL Cems are prefect. But to say there is no difference between Dems and GOp with re to corporate perquisites is not sensible. I could go on but i am out of tiime.

10. I agree with you
Dems used to stand for something. Some still do.

But, I have no use for the corporatist faction of our party. The Blue Dogs, New Dem Coalition, and DLC trash. I've never voted for a repuke in my life, and I never will. But, there's a few Dems I'll never vote for either.

12. The democrats like people to believe that the repugnants...
Edited on Sat Feb-06-10 12:10 AM by veganlush
...are the problem. The Dems have a big majority in both houses and control of the WhiteHouse but are afraid to use them. They doubt their own ideas and are going to push the lie that the republicans are the problem. When the repugs had the WhiteHouse they got what they wanted either through daring and scaring the dems or through reconciliation.

The Democrats, and apparently the President too, have decided that the way forward will be laying low and doing nothing 'til 2010, after which they won't have the "burden" of being in the majority anymore.

Anything positive that occurs after 2010 will be credited to the repug majority. I never would have believed it if someone would have told me I'd be this disillusioned this fast. If some miracle doesn't happen real soon, we're going to go right back into a repugnant administration in 2012.

Even if the dems somehow got something passed tomorrow, there wouldn't be enough time for the policy to be in effect with positive results to help in 2010 November. I knew this guy, Obama, was gonna be a long shot, and with a huge unprecedented hole to get out of, and I knew of course McCain would be a disaster, but I never would have believed they would just surrender without even the APPEARANCE of a fight.
