Education Secretary Arne Duncan the Shock Doctrine
Yes, Arne we want more of our school districts to experience a Katrina so we can replace public education with for profit models, nothing like a "little shock and awe" to take over school systems. Good old Arne who knows nothing about education except how to run it like a business and produce widgets.

2. Agreed. He's an appointee
The opinions he expresses are the property of the appointer.

I agree about the exploitation of Katrina to institute non-public public education in New Orleans, but I haven't seen the travesty generally acknowledged, nor have I seen the current administration do anything to tackle the problem of charter schools being Trojan horses.

3. that is not what he said so don't characterize it that way. I don't agree with Sec Duncan on
everything but you are misrepresenting what he said.
