Rahm Orders Health Care Article Be Must-Read For Staffers
Christina Bellantoni | November 24, 2009, 11:35AM

When President Obama likes a magazine article, White House staffers had better read it.

Obama's must-read is Ron Brownstein's Saturday blog post "A Milestone in the Health Care Journey" at the Atlantic's political Web site.

Politico noted today that Obama found the article, which lauds Max Baucus' approach to health care, a good summary of the cost controls in the health care bill.

1. I'm pretty sure that asshat is responsible for all the Repub lite policies
that have emanated from the Obama White House in recent weeks.

He may serve at Obama's pleasure but he isn't exactly acting in Obama's interest.

He appears to be pursuing his own agenda. He needs to go.

3. And that asshat was Obama's number one draft choice.
The very first hire. What does that tell you?

5. Exactly. I wonder if some sort of deal was made?
Not to be too tin foily, but it really does feel like Clinton won the election, doesn't it?

6. what was the difference
during the primary what was the major difference between clinton and obama? i mean, other than he's black...and opposed insurance mandates (which we may get anyway). he's as staunchly neoliberal (aka. dlc) as she is. the rahm pick was no accident or result of any deal. they are like-minded.

8. I read it. I think he was mining it for talking points. It praises Baucus for cost containment
and outcome based payment to providers.

That sounds a lot like the merit pay scam though.

The other thing is, I wonder if the concern for cost was to INSURANCE COMPANIES, not customers, which along with that recent mammogram fiasco, would make it seems like the Democrats are TRYING to keep the GOP death panel meme going.
