Wall Street Journal: Obama Is Right About Fox News
Here's something to throw in the face of Freepers and Faux News Fanatics:

Commentary in rightwing Journal sez:
To point out that this network is different, that it is intensely politicized, that it inhabits an alternate reality defined by an imaginary conflict between noble heartland patriots and devious liberals—to be aware of these things is not the act of a scheming dictatorial personality. It is the obvious conclusion drawn by anybody with eyes and ears.

1. Very very interesting

This would tend to support the theory by some that Murdoch has grown increasingly embarassed by Fox News and that he wants some personal distance from it.

2. I think it's fair to point out that Thomas Frank is absolutely right about...
Fox News, but that is not the same thing as the WSJ saying it. It's merely Thomas Frank saying it in a op-ed piece in the WSJ.

4. Point taken.
I don't want the subject title to be misleading. I rarely read the WSJ; do they tend to publish opinions their editorial board would disagree with?

6. Yep...they do...
although I have not read lately. i don't know of a single newspaper that does not run op-eds from a wide variety of viewpoints, however, I have never read papers like the Washington Times.

3. But the article closes saying that the Obama administration
did a poor job handling the situation.

5. Given the results, I think they did do a poor job.
It doesn't seem to have played out to their advantage, at least not so far.
