Saudis Will Let Israel Bomb Iran Nuclear Site
Daily Express

Sunday September 27,2009
By Gordon Thomas and Camilla Tominey

INTELLIGENCE chief Sir John Scarlett has been told that Saudi Arabia is ready to allow Israel to bomb Iran’s new nuclear site.

The head of MI6 discussed the issue in London with Mossad chief Meir Dagan and Saudi officials after British intelligence officers helped to uncover the plant, in the side of a mountain near the ancient city of Qom.

The site is seen as a major threat by Tel Aviv and Riyadh. Details of the talks emerged after John Bolton, America’s former UN ambassador, told a meeting of intelligence analysts that “Riyadh certainly approves” of Israel’s use of Saudi airspace.

1. Didn't we already do this once?
Scanning my brain, didn't Israel already bomb an Iranian nuke site about 20 or 30 years ago?

2. Isn't that odd? A Muslim country allowing a Jewish country to
use their airspace to invade another Muslim country?

But it's beyond their beliefs, I guess. Gotta be about money. UAE wants Irans oil??

12. Not Really
Saudis are Arabs,Iranians are non arab Persians.Arabs and Persians have been enemies for centuries. Also Saudis are Sunni Muslims,Iran is a Shite Muslim country .Sunnis and Shites also have big differences. The eastern part of Saudi Arabia is heavily populated with Shites it is near Iran and also the oil rich part of Saudi Arabia. The Saudis have always been afraid of losing that area to Persia. The oil rich Arab Persian Gulf countries are very afraid of a nuclear Iran.

13. Saudi Arabia has a large, restive Shiia minority.

And cooperating in an obvious, military way with Israel to bomb fellow muslims would cause them a world of political heartburn. It is certainly true that they are not happy with the rise of Iran, but it is also fallicious to assert that they are going to become military allies of Israel on that account.

And Dolton has been wrong so many times that it is hard to count.

7. John Bolton?
propaganda, "See the whole world is in favor of bombing Iran."

John Bolton is far more dangerous than Iranian nuclear ambitions.

The Saudi royal family stays in power just as long as America says they can stay in power. Who can forget Bandair Bush?

17. My reaction too once I saw the name ...
One of the top neocons ... and like so many of the others, one who has been universally wrong about everything.

8. I wouldn't be surprised if this were true.
Iran is Shiite. Saudi Arabia is Sunni. They're not exactly allies.

10. Wahhabis see the Shia as heretics, as do Osama bin Laden
the most famous Wahhabi of the century.

18. Failed US Ambassador to the UN ... among other things.
Also one of the meddlers with US intelligence finding that Iraq had WMD.
If Bolton says one thing, chances are that the truth is 180 degrees off.
