Bush's pathetic attempts to deflect responsibility for 9-11 are becoming so desperate that I expect very soon to be greeted with the following headline:

were a lot stronger than th PI's this morning, which is a little surprising since they endorsed * in the year naught.

But maybe letter writers were aiming their letters at the larger audience of the Times. Sometimes it's even hard to find the P-I Focus section in the Sunday paper -- I hear the Times buries it on purpose.
