What is the real number and why is the government not being honest????
Census data show that 46.6 million Americans were uninsured in 2005...........

http://www.cbpp.org/8-29-06health.htm

This 46.6 million number was released by the census in 2006. Just another lie by the Senate and house. Are they ashamed of the real number? Yea like they feel any shame over any thing. Still one would like a real estimate.

1. Toward the end of the week last week, I picked up on theme that
appeared to be coming from the right. Note"appeared".

Anyway, Fox and Lou Dobbs, CNN appeared to be running (let us confuse
things.) All of a sudden they were say there are not even 46 million
without Insurance. These numbers are not correct. Another implication
is "illegal immigrants" make up the 46 million. I was disappointed
to see Schneider, Cnn play along with Dobbs.

GOP at it again. They have a history of trying to destroy things
by pitting one group against the other. We know this is what they
did in the south--pitting poor whites against blacks. They used
this to push Welfare Reform. Convinced poor whites their taxes
would be used to pay for poor blacks on Welfare.

Finally some are trying to stop Health Care Reform by saying
we do not even know how many are without Healthcare.

The Dems on the Hill need to stay on top of what is going on re
this issue.

3. The "real" number in June 2009 is probably at least 50 million and likely higher, given all the

unemployment. The actual number is somewhat inflated currently because of the government subsidy of COBRA.

Also, state programs providing health insurance have been cutting back so that adds to the total as well.
