9. I have sadi it once, twice
Obama's greatest opposition this term will not come from the GOP. Even those who are crazy enough to attack know their credibility is wasted. The number one enemy of Obama will be the democratic Congress, who is scared to death of actually have to live up to the platitudes they exploit to get elected. Diane can be among the worst, as she was one of the Dino's that helped Bush.

5. Yes, you did. In each case, DiFi is referring to standard processes and protocols.

6. Not at all,--The Senate Dems went out on a limb interfering in
State Matters. Feinstein merely quoted the law. Obama had
quietly met with Durbin and Reid Monday explaining they should
get rid of this.

7. Feinstein is now onboard with Panetta, btw.
And Burris just has a few hoops to jump through before being sworn in. Likewise, Senator Franken.

12. I wonder if that was really all she needed, an apology.
Appearances are very important in Washington, to be sure, but I'll bet she got more than a little than a smoothing of the feathers.

16. I think that guy was already on deck. He's a holdover, I believe.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/story/2009/01/07/ST2009010701444.html

Several committee Democrats made clear that they expect CIA Deputy Director Stephen R. Kappes and Intelligence Director Michael Morell, the agency's No. 3 official, to be retained for continuity and experience. An Obama transition official confirmed that both will be invited to stay.

So it's probably something else. But who knows? Maybe 20 minutes with Panetta really did calm her down. Maybe...

14. This is all posturing, bloviating. and dramatization.
Real fights will not be conducted out in the open.
