TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Joe The Plumber is putting down his wrenches and picking up a reporter's notebook.
The Ohio man who became a household name during the presidential campaign says he is heading to Israel as a war correspondent for the conservative Web site pjtv.com.

Samuel J. Wurzelbacher (WUR'-zuhl-bah-kur) says he'll spend 10 days covering the fighting.

He tells WNWO-TV in Toledo that he wants to let Israel's "'Average Joes' share their story."

Ever wonder what it would be like if our grassroots wasn't as hated and despised by our own Congressional Democrats as we are by the Bushies?

Could you imagine what we could do if our blogosphere got just one-tenth of the Slush Fund support or we had a Propaganda Channel and other things to continually provide members with jobs, whether they are any good at them or not?

We helped the Democrats immeasurably and it was "Fuck YOU!" pretty much the next day.

16. I've listened to so much crap from supposedly educated reporters I welcome the plumber.

More power to him. He behaves like a concerned citizen, has been able to clearly explain his ideas and positions. and has put up with a mountain of crap from people who think they know more than he does and seem to think he is uppity by daring to think about economics and politics.

College degrees are, unfortunately, not guarantees of intellectual capacity and stamina, or of logical thinking, or respect for others, or belief in equality, or ability to help a country survive and prosper.

Phony champions of the "working class" take heed. Don't pretend to love the workers in general or as an abstraction while you ridicule the individual worker. There are alas so many undemocratic Democrats.
