Bill Clinton A Possible N.Y. Senate 'Caretaker?'

http://wcbstv.com/politics/ny.caretaker.senator.2.897875.html

Sen. Bill Clinton? Don't completely rule it out.
The former president is among several boldface names being touted as possible "caretakers" for New York's Senate seat -- people who would serve until the 2010 elections but wouldn't be interested in running to keep the job.

I think the idea makes sense--he is eminently qualified, and he wont run in 2010,leaving the field wide open.

1. Seems a long shot
I'd give that about as much of a chance as I would of Bush putting six sentences together without a grammatical error, but I guess stranger things have happened.......

2. Not Available
He's already accepted a position as Secretary of Kazakh "businessmen" with duffel bags of untraceable cash.

4. Probably do it to deep-six investigations into Bush2 - just like he did for Bush1
throughout the 90s.

5. No caretaker! The Senate is based on seniority
as a NYer, I don't want my Senator to lose out on committees, etc., because we had a caretaker in there for two years.

This is about the fifth time a link to this story at the cbs website has been posted.
