Check out all these unexpected deaths of people involved with elections
Check out all these unexpected deaths of people involved with elections

Keep your coincidence caps handy, folks. People involved in elections and voting machine companies seem very unlucky. Especially those in Ohio (4 of the 7) and Georgia (2 of the 7).

--Pokey Anderson

1. Dan Rocco -- April 1, 2002 -- ChoicePoint VP -- plane crash
He died on April 1, 2002, in a plane crash in Gainesville, Georgia. He was an executive vice president at ChoicePoint, the firm that gained infamy with their faulty "felons" list supplied to Katherine Harris during the 2000 election in Florida. As a result of this list, over 90,000 voters (mostly African-American voters) were wrongly identified as felons and purged from the rolls.

2. Wesley Vance -- April 26, 2003 -- Diebold VP -- plane crash
Pilot Killed In Plane Crash Was Top Exec At Diebold
April 28, 2003
http://www.wkbn.com/Global/story.asp?S=1253108
(Jackson-AP) -- The pilot of a single-engine airplane that crashed in southern Ohio over the weekend was the chief operating officer of Canton-based Diebold Incorporated.
The company says 45-year-old Wesley Vance of Canton was flying a private plane that crashed Saturday near the Jackson County Airport. ...The company says Vance joined Diebold in October, 2000, as president of its North America business unit. He was named chief operating officer in 2001. Chief Executive Walden O'Dell will assume the company's daily operational responsibilities until a successor is found for Vance. An airport spokesman says Vance was practicing takeoffs and landings in a six-seat Beachcraft A-36 when it crashed near the airport.

Vance was an Eagle Scout, elected to Boys State, and a church-going Mormon, married, father of five. He earned a degree from Brigham Young University. He was described as a confident person who people liked to be around. His senior class in high school voted him "favorite boy". He had been a pilot for over twenty years. He was named to Diebold's No. 2 position as COO in 2001, managing the company's global operations.

3. Anthony J. Celebrezze Jr. -- July 4, 2003 -- Diebold consultant -- cause of death not confirmed

1. They're all being "Wellstoned." Why are any of them getting on private planes
...anymore?

2. I'm sure you remember Raymond Lemme, too...
From DUer Time for Change back in 2005:

"Raymond Lemme was the official from the Florida Inspector General’s Office who was charged with investigating Curtis’ allegations. In his affidavit, Curtis describes a June 2003 meeting with Lemme, where Lemme told Curtis that he (Lemme) “had tracked the corruption all the way to the top”, and that the story would break shortly."

4. Our own Andy Stephenson is mentioned in the article
Most of the others seem a bit fishy, especially the plane crashes, but Andy was ill. He was harrassed and threatened, but he was not murdered. As for the others, I wonder about a number of them.

5. Well, that's questionable.
I'm a long-time lurker, and remember when Andy was supposed to have his surgery, a bunch of repukes called the hospital and told them DU collecting money was a hoax.

The hospital delayed his surgery, and the tumor wasn't encapsulated anymore when they finally did it.

In my mind, that's murder by repuke. At the very least, they cost him time.

7. I agree they cost him time, but
I'm not sure whether or not he would have made it even if the surgery had been done more quickly. He was very, very sick. The freepers' accusations of Andy committing a fraud were way over the top.

6. The cover up could be what snags them if just one of these was properly
investigated.

11. I can't help but think about others unknown to us that may have been disposed of
Think about it, there may be others out there that these treasonist traitors fear. Those who don't know the whole story, and may not even realize they know anything, but collectively their testimony could connect the dots. People like you and me, or our loved ones who suddenly die in a freak accident.

Makes you wonder, and fearful. And then I get purple-passion-angry watching Dick Cheney today on the news and his ever so fucking arrogance about his Vice-Presidential power-grabbing role - a role that actually stems from two treasonous coups. I fucking hate these deadly bastards.

Eight years ago, I never hated a soul.

A year ago, I never wrote 'fucking' in a post.

I hate those fucking bastards. May they rot in hell.
