The Latest GOP Voter Suppression, the Mentally Challenged
The GOP in Californai, led by Chuck Bell, the State’s GOP Attorney, wants to question the votes of ten developmentally disabled adults who were helped in their voting by their caretaker. He thinks they were coerced. The real case is that the voters didn’t vote for Republicans, but 9 to 1 for Obama. As one said, when asked, the black guy.

3. goddamn.
The pukes need their own fucking country with a fucking daddy-dictator. I am sick of their shit.

I hope this election tears them limb from limb and they never come close to power as long as I live.

9. there will be some debates after the election
about how long the Repubs will have to wander in the wilderness, and also about what they will do with the poisonous religious right.

15. I am so with you on that!
This scum has done more damage than we know and now the realists have to deal with it while they will continue to live in their fucking fantasy world, where Obama is a Muslim baby eater and liberals all want to kill decent 'Murkans. I sincerely hope they suffer and am so looking forward to seeing them cry on Nov. 5th.

4. This Could Backfire Big
By doing this, they look extremely craven in their effort to prevent voters from voting. It's too bad there are so many Republicans who are so anti-democratic.

5. This is California
They are already going to lose in a landslide, and this will just tarnish the GOP brand even more.

7. Of course they don't
They want to go coerce the voters themselves. They think the people who do caregiving for Developmentally Disabled adults are Democrats, and probably with some logic. So they are going to try to keep them from doing their job.

But this is a landslide in Californai. Hey, if this was Ohio, of North Carolina, then you could understand, if not condone their action. What massive stupidity!

12. That's offensive to me
I'll give her some credit on people with disabilities. Frankly, I take this sort of subject off the table. As I do family.

18. Sorry, I don't give her credit for anything.
It's sometimes known as an earmark when people have certain projects that they want to funnel money to that may or may not need them.

I listened carefully to her policy speech on children with special needs and the offensive fact is that if we implemented the programs she proposed, it would drain the education system and force the taxpayer to equip private schools to accommodate children with a multitude of special needs. She knows nothing about the disability rights act, or NCLB, public and private funding for the school system and how it works.

All she knows is that her special little gift from baby cheezus is going to need lots of "help" and she's gonna do everything she can to see he gets it. Mark my words, in a Palin administration, we'll have tax breaks for women under 14 who get knocked up, snow machine rebates, and incentives for anyone manufacturing moose meat.

10. For How Many Decades Have the GOP Done This?
Every tactic they blame on Democrats is something they have been actively doing for years if not decades. I expect this is the same---absentee ballots for the terminally ill and comatose and recently dead, voting for the senile and developmentally delayed...the mind boggles.

11. I can't accuse without evidence
We have it in this case, absolutely legal voting that the GOP is challenging, merely because the voting went against them.

13. Hey just because they are mentally challenged doesn't mean they are incompetent to vote.
I knew an individual like this a number of years ago. He was very well read and had definite political opinions. He could hold his own in a discussion of the Iran Contra scandal for one and had definite opinions about it (very much anti Reagan). No way could anyone have convinced him to vote for someone he did not want to vote for.

14. Well. . .
there's surely a range of mental challenges. We've been at the mercy of a President who displays some for almost eight years, and McCain's challenges seem to be about temperament and judgement.
