at several points in this story you will come across circumstances that will make you want to weep. The utter indifference of (Gov.) Bush is only one of them.
we must all work as hard as humanly possible to rid this nation of this presidential pestilence.
"My Only Hope"
http://www.dfw.com/mld/dfw/news/state/8128688.htmTo Chris Ochoa, it was life or death: a life sentence or capital punishment. He chose life, confessed to a rape and murder he didn't commit and spent 12 years in prison before he was exonerated. Today, he is a 37-year-old student at the law school that won his freedom.

Ochoa didn't know that another Texas inmate had recently claimed that he had raped and shot Nancy DePriest. After undergoing a religious conversion, Achim Josef Marino, who was serving three life sentences for aggravated robbery, confessed to Austin police, the local branch of the American Civil Liberties Union and the Austin newspaper.
Two years passed. Marino mailed another confession to the office of then-Gov. George W. Bush. A Bush spokesperson said the office didn't follow up on the letter because in it Marino said that he had also written to Austin police and the Travis County district attorney's office.
Eventually, thanks to the Wisconsin students, DNA testing confirmed Marino's guilt.
