"I read attorney Karl F. Pansler's letter with much interest (as with all letters to the editor) and found it compelling until near its ending. I would never have imagined a man with the integrity of Mr. Pansler to use the kind of snide remarks that are very popular this political season, but, so be it.
"Mr. Pansler asked what had Barack Obama done that has demonstrated that he is ready to be president and when did he do it? This is a very legitimate question, so, in the words of Sarah Palin (when Katie Couric asked her about John McCain's record), "I'll find some for ya and get 'em to ya."
"Despite Mr. Pansler's use of the words "honor" and "loyalty" to describes McCain's character, I cannot forget that, after returning from Vietnam, this "loyal" husband and "honorable" father walked out on his crippled wife and small children (who had been without a father for five years) to legitimize an affair with heiress Cindy McCain."
