Economic Collapse by Norman Livergood
Lots of photos/pictures and links so please continue reading at the original source. Someone please tell me why “the profits are private, losses are public”? ~ Lo

July 2008

Capitalism has struck the deadly ice reef of corruption and is now sinking fast. But passengers of the American ship of state–already drowning in the murderous waters of loss of homes and jobs–are still believing politicians’ reassurances that nothing’s really happening.

The lifeboats, courtesy of the Federal Reserve and the U.S. treasury, are “saving” big financial institutions: Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Bear Stearns, IndyMac, and a host of others to the tune of 400 billion dollars so far.

1. We no longer have any systems. All we have is rackets.
If you look at our medical, business, legal, political, educational, monetary and information systems they have all degenerated into rackets.

2. Welcome to the third world
where there may be a bureaucracy, but it is owned by Billy Bob's relatives. And if you ain't willing to swear allegiance to Billy Bob, you get nada.

Where you get to watch your friends disapear into black box prisons, only to resurface a decade later as a box of bones.

Where you have to vote, but there is only one party.

4. Yup
Welcome to the realm of subjective laws. They apply to who the executive says, and don't apply when he chooses.

I find it highly ironic that people fear to revolt because it might cause a social breakdown. What would any sane person call the above?

7. Sane, sadly is the operative term
We have been scared crazy, dumb, and violent.

We have been given an amorphous foe with a brown anonymous face.

5. It is capitalism that should be drowned in the bathtub, along with Grover Norquist.
