JPost: 'Bush intends to attack Iran before the end of his term'
Jerusalem Post: 'Bush intends to attack Iran before the end of his term'
US President George W. Bush intends to attack Iran in the upcoming months, before the end of his term, Army Radio quoted a senior official in Jerusalem as saying Tuesday.

The official claimed that a senior member of the president's entourage, which concluded a trip to Israel last week, said during a closed meeting that Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney were of the opinion that military action was called for.

However, the official continued, "the hesitancy of Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice" was preventing the administration from deciding to launch such an attack on the Islamic Republic, for the time being...

1. Ehhhh... scrub and fudd didn't care when powell had reservations about attacking Iraq
so why should they care what Gates and Rice think??

In addition, I don't think they believe Congress will do anything about it and they're probably correct.

Well...nothing short of a sharply critical resolution condemning the attack

2. Evil Bush and his Cronies.... and what do the want with Iran?...
Must be more oil, more oil... but timing is not quite right for the attack just yet - they should wait until Iran develop and use nuke - then no one is going to accuse them of using faulty intelligence as a pretext for the attack

5. I've often wondered,
how much the 130.00 a barrel oil has to do with peak oil, and how much it is economic sanctions against the "Saddam Bush".

7. I think they will hit after the election.
If McSatan wins good for them. If Obama wins its still no sweat off their back.

Either way they have nothing to lose.

Mid/late Nov. to Late Dec. They will try it.
