"In Contravention of Conventional Wisdom: CIA 'no touch' torture
makes sense out of mind control allegations" by Cheryl Welsh (January 2008)

Cheryl Welsh is a United Nations recognized expert on "non-lethal" weapons, a human rights activist against tactics and technologies that target the human nervous system and the founder of Mind Justice.org

"After the horrific pictures of prisoners being tortured at Abu Ghraib were displayed in front pages of newspapers around the world, the United States maintained that the U.S. government does not torture, Abu Ghraib was about a few bad officers. Evidence now proves that CIA 'no touch' torture and worse were ordered by the executive branch and approved by top military officers. Surprisingly, this scandal has much in common with another national security issue, neuroweapons, commonly referred to as mind control."

1. A little side post in regards to this article and the national security issue of mind control
the open sources available to anyone interested in this subject are full of disinformation and psychological operations to frustrate, conceal and divert research.

Here are a few links that do contain facts about the history of whatever one terms mind control, brainwashing, perception management, political control, neurobiology/neuroscience etc.

The mind control programs of the CIA began in 1953 and were originally designated with the MK prefix, which signified operations and programs under the direction of the former Technical Services Division/TSD (changed to the Directorate of Science and Technology in 1962), the most widely known as MK ULTRA.

40. Thanks Bob, good stuff.....
WOW! this fucking shit is really whacked. I've be reading stuff here and there about corruption & shadow government and mind control is always in the mix. My first bit I think was about the Franklin scandal. What a read Hollywood couldn't write the stuff. It's really creepy too. There was a part in that story where there was reference to Hunter Thompson being the camera guy for a snuff film at the Bohemian Grove, that made me stop and take a breath. Thanks again

5. Former CIA Director George Tenet made this comment on February 5, 2004
"No one told us what to say or how to say it..." during a quite rare public appearance at Georgetown University.

That is right up there with his "We don't torture..." crap, isn't it?

Kick.

For accounting purposes drugs were given alphanumeric codes by the CIA.  LSD-25 was designated as EA 1729.

"ARTICHOKE is the Agency cryptonym for the study and/or use of 'special' interrogation methods and techniques.  These 'special' interrogation methods have been known to include the use of drugs and chemicals, hypnosis, and 'total isolation' a form of psychological harassment."

That is the opening paragraph of the Memo below-and these "special" methods were being conducted in the 1950's...

I ever wanted to hear used to describe US policy, though horrid in the past, they are surpassing their own cruelties.

25. More confirmation of the facts in what Cheryl Welsh wrote in January
here is the OP link's opening paragraph again with the parts that are now being confirmed by ABC and other MSM soures capitalized

Thank you, again, Cheryl!
