Bachmann: I’m ‘Proud’ That ‘We Have People Working Two Jobs’ And ‘Longer Hours’
Topping Congress’s agenda as it returns this week is a plan to “jump-start the economy and try to shorten the slowdown that many economists say has already begun to take hold.”

Today, Rep. Eric Cantor (VA), the chief deputy Republican whip in the House, unveiled his proposal to stimulate the economy. His legislation — the so-called Middle Class Job Protection Act — does nothing for the middle class. Instead, it reduces the corporate tax rate by 25 percent.

At a press conference today unveiling the stimulus proposal, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) justified the conservative plan to give tax breaks to corporations — instead of working Americans — by arguing that people actually like working long hours:

I am so proud to be from the state of Minnesota. We’re the workingest state in the country, and the reason why we are, we have more people that are working longer hours, we have people that are working two jobs.

3. Wow
She actually believe this shit? Not. How many vacations does she take a year? What about family values and parents being home for their children. She's an idiot to even make that statement. Unless she's a fan of slavery?

4. Did she also start rabbiting about...
Family Values? Like families that never see each other because they are always working one job or the other, like hamsters on a wheel?

Bachman is quite, quite insane.

the problem now would seem to be that they are so, SO out of touch that their attempts at the mere PRETENSE of caring for us common folk are becoming utterly ridiculous. Come opi, we kick some clueless ass. :o

12. Apparently, Minnesota also has the best educationest system in the United States.
Ensuring that everyone has a good educationest is essential if you want them to be the workingest in the country.

17. Michelle Bachmann has two jobs, that's for sure.
Her second one is her unceasing attempts to become Lil' Georgie's cuddle muffin.

Sheesh. Only in Republican-Land would people be proud and happy that middle class people had to toil away at two jobs just to keep their heads above water while the rich enjoyed tax breaks on their inherited wealth.

22. Every word in the name of this Act is a lie.
Except "Act". How typically Republican.

A post on C&L suggested that it would be better if total idiot Bachmann were kept around after the November bloodbath. The theory is that we won't be able to get rid of all the Republicans in November, and Bachmann's awesome, world-class worthlessness would remind Americans to finish the job later.
