Analysis: Clinton comes out swinging

By NEDRA PICKLER, Associated Press Writer 1 hour, 18 minutes ago

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Hillary Rodham Clinton lost the luxury to be polite along with the Iowa caucuses. On the ropes after a third-place finish, Clinton came out swinging against new Democratic front-runner Barack Obama with a vigor she hadn't shown before in the contest she used to lead. She argued that she is the candidate who deserves the mantle of change and not this newcomer Obama.

"I'm not just running on a promise of change. I'm running on 35 years of change," she said in Saturday's Democratic debate, raising her voice and jabbing her finger on the podium to underscore her point.

In return, Clinton got Obama and John Edwards ganging up on her. Edwards apparently decided if he can't beat Obama in New Hampshire, he'll try to join him.

"Both of us are powerful voices for change," Edwards said, rising to Obama's defense. "And if I might add, we finished first and second in the Iowa caucus, I think in part as a result of that."

2. >>I'm running on 35 years of change,
I would not want to admit that... seeing where we are, have been and potentially are headed. Please excuse any grammatical errors on my part, sentence structure has never been my strong suit.

3. Ted Kennedy old and should quit-- Al Gore and John Kerry dividers
you would think people WHO ARE REAL AMERICANS would find those statements more than odd. You would think people who were real Americans would not only find it odd by very very offensive...very offensive...but then some people think a jumping dancing speechifying candidate is the a good candidate for American Idolers...guess they loose when they can't find a telephone number to phone in the vote. Or is that they next thing they'll set up....and wonder in how many more states with a casus will they find more students to bus in to vote and then send home. THAT won't go over in most of the states.

4. i was registered to vote in my college town.
there were massive get out to vote drives at my alma mater. please stop trying to make it sound all dirty and underhanded, that they made a way for the college kids to come vote. i am sure the other candidates took notice and will pay more attention to the college kids now.
