Read It And Puke - "Anti-War Movies Hurt America. . ."

If Tokyo Rose were alive today, she wouldn't get jail time - she'd get a three-picture deal.

Throwing all caution and fiscal sanity to the winds, the Hollywood establishment is releasing a slate of anti-war films that do violence to the cause of American victory - and to the art form of film.

Art is best served by an open competition of ideas. When only the anti-war left is allowed to make films in Hollywood and pro-American voices are excluded, the result is movies that are ideologically rigid, morally shallow and creatively sterile. Is it any wonder that recent anti-war films like "Rendition" and "In the Valley of Elah" have bombed at the box office?

BTW, this assclown Govindini Murty is co-founder of the so-called "Liberty Film Festival"

1. Well now....if the terrorists are busy watching anti-war movies
then how come they have time to fight in Iraq and kill our children.

2. One reason why these "anti-war" movies may not do as well at the box
office, IMO, is that the story is just too raw. We see the obscenity of the war and the repuke policies every day.

And I, for one, am not really anxious to spend time in a theater watching it again. I felt the same thing in F-911, IT, and others. I will only go to see it as a political statement, supporting the filmmakers who take a chance by putting the truth out there.

But the mass of Amerika, the millions who turn a moderate success into a blockbuster, are also probably hesitant to subject themselves to what they know is an unpleasant truth. So, they stay away. And the right wing can claim, "See. America does not support this anti-American crap."

So, I will continue to see movies like this. But I will not be happy doing it.
