Top 15 Reasons Why Bush Will Veto Congress’s Iraq War Spending Bill


President George W. Bush has vowed to use his veto power for just the second time on the war spending bill ratified last Tuesday by Congress. The President’s main reason for vetoing the bill is that it would ask for a timetable for withdrawal if certain benchmarks aren’t met by the Iraqi government. But President Bush has other reasons for vetoing the bill. What are they?

# 15) One of Nancy Pelosi’s conditions is that Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki shave off that grubby-looking, Don Johnson stubble.

# 14) Attached to the bill are directions for the President‘s twin daughters to the nearest Washington, DC Army recruiting office.

# 13) The spending bill contains a provision forbidding Sen. Lindsey Graham from ripping off Baghdad rug merchants.
