Helen Thomas and her chronology of Cheney's growth into his hawkishness. In this article Helen mentions that it seemed to the public after 9/11 the public perceived Cheney as calling the shots so he went back under his rock. I recall, vaguely, that in June of 2001, something that in case of a national emergency, like a 9/11, * relinguished his authority.......it has been little published but I always thought it to be the reason for the dummy look * had in the FL classroom with the "My Pet Goat" incident. * didn't DO anything because he wasn't the one in power. Cheney is dangerous imho.

When I hear his delusional responses to how matters are going in Iraq he REALLY scares me. What sane person could make a remark(s) like he does? Helen Thomas is great at getting to the nitty gritty!
