Is Bush a Bigger Liar Than Clinton?
http://www.niagarafallsreporter.com/gallagher144.html

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky." -- President Bill Clinton.
"I came to this office to solve problems not to pass them off to future presidents and future generations." -- President George W. Bush.

DETROIT -- Pick your favorite presidential lie and measure its impact, especially on our children.

Bill Clinton's big lie was stupid, self-absorbed and degrading. It got him impeached and put the nation through a long, painful ordeal as the president squandered his leadership to protect his own hide.

Clinton's recklessness distracted us from more important matters, but as despicable as his private behavior and public lies were, they will have little, if any, consequence for future generations other than for historical curiosity.

George W. Bush's lie is ongoing and his reckless government spending and borrowing will do serious long-term harm to the U.S. economy and burden our children and grandchildren with unconscionable debt.

1. Bush has the bigger lie here
Clinton's was bad... but I'm sure Bush knew that his economy wasn't going anywhere before he said that. That's a serious lie.

14. Look what Bush did to my nephew!
23 years old.

Quadraplegic thanks to an iraqui bullet.

His life is ruined.

His VA benefits are being cut.

Yet, the Whore Press repeatedly attacks Clinton's Cock...

3. Whaaa?
This sort of garbage makes me angry.

Apart from a consensual adult relationship, what did President Clinton lie about? And what was the effect of that lie on the world? Any deaths or injuries? What reckless acts are they talking about?

Bush lies almost every time he opens his mouth. His lies have resulted in thousands of deaths, the destruction of our economy, the rape of the environment, and the alientation of the rest of the world. Reckless? How about ignoring warnings that might have prevented Sept. 11? Or starting a war based solely on deception that has killed many, wrecked our relationships with long-time allies, and mortgaged our future?

President Clinton worked hard to leave the U.S. and the world in much better shape than when he entered office. What "distracted us from more important matters" were the incessant, hysterical, and specious attacks against the president from the Republican right and their lackeys in the mainstream media. It is their recklessness that nearly lead to the overthrow of our government and its twice legally elected leader.

This type of comparison is pure nonsense.

5. Bush's Lies Hurt
and kill real people. Both are selfish lies. Clinton's may have caused public skepticism and brought ridicule on himself and his family, but Bush's have caused entire continents and entire religions to hate us more. Clinton lied to prevent embarassment. Bush lies are a braggard's lies. Which is more serious? No one has been killed from a Clinton lie. Aside from the seriousness of Bush lies is the quantity and purpose. Bush lies every day. Lies on top of lies to cover up lies. He has people on his staff whose only job seems to be to defend and excuse his lies. He has entire policies based on lies. He has guided the country on a dangerous path justified by lies. He has others lie for him. The purpose of his lies seems to be to protect and further enrich those who financed his ascension to emperor. He has no moral character, no empathy, no dignity, no sense of right and wrong, no soul. Clinton lied to deflect attention from his personal life. Bush lies to deflect attention from the way he is screwing the country. The PNAC cabal spent 8 years and $70 million of taxpayer's money trying to find something with which to bring Clinton down. It wouldn't take nearly that much to bring down Bush.

7. Clinton's recklessness
wasn't what diverted the nation's attention...it
was all the hoohaw Republicans created around
a blow job in the oval office with a very willing
adult intern.

8. Clinton lied about a private matter.
It's something we've probably all done, deflected an intrusive question with a lie because the questioner didn't have any right to the truth on that subject.

Bush has lied about vital matters of public business, and he has lied about them constantly.

9. Here's an obvious question
How many died because of Clinton's lie, committed to protect his family?

And no, freepers - Vince Foster offed himself.

How many died for this lie in Iraq? So far?

12. Foster didn't off himself...
He was murdered by the Wall Street Journal editorial page staff--hounded to death. They probably still think it's funny. Pond scum...

Rest in peace, Vince. You were a better man than anyone knew.

10. Much bigger liar
Clinton really only lied about his adultery. He didn't lie about the direction of the country or about the fact that we may have had to go to war with NK but that he would do it diplomatically. Bush lies about everything.

15. They both suck!
Professional politicians are liars by definition. Both Clinton and Bush pander to corporate interests while telling sickly sweet lies to please their core voting constituencies... it's just the way the game is played any more.

16. "Both Clinton and Bush pander to corporate interests "
Puhleeze....don't compare Bush and Clinton when it comes to pandering to "corporate interests." We went to war in Iraq for Bush's corporate interests for crying out loud! Bush is the Babe Ruth of pandering to corporate interest. His entire agenda is for corporate interests! (Sorry Babe for using you as a comparison to Bush)!

18. Pick a lie, any lie
"I'm a uniter, not a divider."

"Compassionate conservative."

Then there's the "inherited" recession, the WMDs, claims about where the tax cuts would go, etc.

Bush belongs at a carpet emporium, he lies so much.

19. Bad judgement vs. blind ignorance
Clinton's lies, while not damaging to anyone other than himself, his family, and Ms. Lewinsky, were troubling for the fact that they revealed a lack of judgement, and perhaps a lack of self-control. It made me worry a bit about the man at the helm.

But at least he was at the helm. I can't help thinking that Bush isn't really a liar, because he probably believes most if not all of what he says (or tries to say anyway). It's just that he's not really in charge, is he? We don't really know who is, and that is a lot more dangerous than Clinton ever could have been.

Is it a lie if you don't intend to deceive?

21. You do not seem to have a firm grasp of the situation
concerning Bill Clinton. Ambushed by Ken Star while on the witness stand during the Paula Jones hearing, the Lewinsky question came completely out of left field. In a moment of weakness the president lied. Now, explain to me how his grand jury testimony can get thrown out, yet still be impeached for giving false testimony. I've never been able to figure that one out.

We all know that Poppy Bush's crowd was breathing fire from the moment he lost the election to Bill Clinton. The right wing conspiracy topped off it's tank and wound up full throttle, in it's illegal and unconstitutional approach to trump up unfounded case after case against The president.

Do me a favor and don't EVER compare Bill Clinton to the dickhead currently occupying the White House.
