Subject: Bush Blows Belligerent Bugle at UN

Dear Friend:

Between his smirk and his snarl, there wasn't much to like.

You can see my critique, "Bush Blows Belligerent Bugle at UN," at our website.

(A favorite moment: Bush said, "My country desires peace." His very next word was "but.")

Bush's talk reminded me of the famous Bertolt Brecht quote:
.......

Here is the article he talks of:

Bush Blows Belligerent Bugle at UN

By Matthew Rothschild

Septemer 19, 2006

....

“It was a speech I really enjoyed giving,” he told Bob Woodward in Plan of Attack.

Bush’s speech to the U.N. on Tuesday was part of his lead-up to the bombing of Iran and/or Syria, and he once again appeared to be getting a kick out of his bellicosity.

As is his wont, he referred to September 11 right off the top. And then, ever black and white, he divided the world into “extremists” and “moderates.” Early in his speech, Bush referred to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. But he didn’t seem to read past the first sentence of the preamble.

.........

He used the word “extremist” or “extremism” four times in his first six sentences. And he used “enemies of humanity” and “their campaign of murder” and “terror as a weapon” in those sentences, as well.

.....
All in all, he used variations of the word “extremist” fourteen times and “terror,” “terrorism,” or “terrorist” sixteen times.......

1. It some kind of subliminal thing. bush** admires 'extremists'
and 'terraists' and all them Barney Badass kind of guys. In fact, that's how he sees himself.

Yep, he's a real tough gut up to the point where he just might have to PAY for his nastiness. Then he runs and cries and wants the laws changed or ignored or whatever.

Wonder how bad he'd think he is if he'd wake up and realize that he's not doing or running anything? That all he's around for is to take the blame, to be the front man for one of the nastiest gangs of thugs in the world today.

I'm surprised Poppy doesn't have more influence than he does. Poppy knew Iraq was a lose/lose proposition, so I wonder what he thinks about attacking Iran and/or Syria.

2. Extremist/extremism was obviously the "Word of the Day". You can see
this EVERY TIME HE TALKS. There is always a clearly identifiable word that has been drummed into his head and inserted into every single sentence.

Reminds me of First Grade.

3. The Bertolt Brecht quote mentioned above:
Bertolt Brecht: “When the leaders speak of peace, the common folk know that war is coming. When the leaders curse war, the mobilization order is already written out.”

5. Bush's UN speeches are always for American retard consumption
When Bush was going to give his Iraqi Threat speech at the UN a couple of years ago, I thought he would take it up a notch in sophistication of his argument, but instead, he delivered essentially the same speech he had been giving at home that would scare the ignorant and prejudiced and convince zero people outside the United States.

The same is true here. Bush doesn't give a shit about rallying world support for invading Iran. If they backed him up, he'd have to divide the loot with them.
