1. I had to laugh at that.
They had some excerpts in Playboy a few months back, And I wasn't really surprised to see my old martial arts instructor, Guy Savelli in there.

I started studying under him in 1973, when he first moved to Cleveland, and he was a bit of a nutcase, even back then. He used to claim all kinds of crazy powers. After about 8 months, I quit and found another teacher and didn't hear anything about him again for another 10 years, when he was on TV, arguing with "The Amazing Randi" about a test of his psychic powers. He was trying to claim Randi's cash prize by moving objects with his mind.

So, it was no stretch to find he was telling people he could kill goats by staring at them.

And I loved the part about the General who was very frustrated at his inability to walk through solid walls.

And they wonder why Iraq is so screwed up?

3. Nonlethal and directed energy weapons are operational, the history
of the research and development of these systems is horrible.

Cheryl Welsh is one of a handful of nonlethal experts recognized by the UN. Most people have never heard of her or her human rights activism in regards to technologies that focus on the human brain and central nervous system.

There have been numerous reports of civilian victims of these weapons in Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon and elsewhere-and just a few days ago some Pentagon officials were talking about using them here.

In 1998 Cheryl Welsh published a paper regarding the Cold War arms race to develop some of the types of weapons and tactics mentioned in "The Men Who Stare At Goats".

4. The dust jacket of "The Men Who Stare At Goats" states
"This story is about what happened when a small group of men-highly placed within the United States military, the government, and the intelligence services-began believing in very strange things"

Those belief systems included what became known as the Revolution in Military Affairs/RMA (not cited in Ronson's book) which doesn't sound as whacky as The First Earth Battalion/FEB, even though it integrated many of the FEB's pragmatic extremes and is at the core of the traitorous Rumsfeld DoD and the "defense" industry that has hugely emptied our Treasury and has led to economic warfare.

The RMA was primarily articulated by Steven Metz PhD., and Lt. Col. James Kievit in 1994, RMA relied on the operationalization of many of the FEB's revolutionary weapons and tactics as well as acceptance of illegal doctrines.

Many of the politicized public and private think tanks had been thinking outside of the box for decades.

In 1996 an Air Force think tank, The Institute of National Security Studies/INSS published a remarkable Occasional Paper by Col. Charles J. Dunlap, Jr. which deserves reading and comparison to what is being "reported" every news cycle today.
"Melancholy Reunion: A Report From The Future On The Collapse Of Civil-Military Relations In The United States"
http://www.guerrillacampaign.com/coup.htm

A lot of "credit" to all this thinking outside the box leads to another person that wasn't mentioned in Ronson's book- Lt. Col. Michael Aquino who "influenced" the belief systems of many influential folks, including Jim Channon.

7. Captain Paul E. Tyler Medical Commandant USN attended a workshop
Edited on Sat Sep-23-06 10:51 PM by bobthedrummer
at Maxwell AFB in March 1984. His presentation was based on some of his research, titled "The Electomagnetic Spectrum in Low Intensity Conflict".

I have no doubt, based on available open source info, that people were among the test subjects used in developing a lot of the nonlethal/directed energy weapons in many nations.

Twelve years after Captain Tyler's presentation the Air Force's INSS put out another Occasional Paper "Nonlethal Weapons: Terms and References" edited by Robert J. Bunker. Contributors to this work, Col. John B. Alexander and Charles "Sid" Heal, were featured in Ronson's book.

In any event, this Occasional Paper from 1996 is a wealth of information about the extent of some of the arsenal availabe at that time.

http://www.angelfire.com/or/mctrl/nonlethal.html

Some of the bright talented people involved in this kind of research became whistleblowers-and were "punished" for speaking out. For example, Allen L. Barker.

8. The Observer: Acting the Giddy Goat -- Inspired Study of War on Terror
When it comes to this Gang, there's always been a bit of the unearthly...

Acting the giddy goat

Jon Ronson's The Men Who Stare at Goats is an inspired study of America's war on terror, says Tim Adams

Sunday November 21, 2004
The Observer

Jon Ronson is forced to begin his book with an extraordinary disclaimer: 'This,' he writes, with some authentic shock and awe, 'is a true story.'

As you read on, it is hard to shift the impact of those five small words from your mind. It would be far, far better for all of us, you can't help thinking, if it turned out that Jon Ronson had actually made up his entire, wonderful investigation into 'psychological warfare' techniques used by America's elite Special Forces.

If he had not, for example, discovered that there was a Major General Albert Stubblebine III directing operations from Arlington, Virginia, who firmly believes he can walk through walls. Or if the existence of a secret unit in which psyops personnel stared at goats for hours on end with the aim of killing them was actually a figment of a warped author's imagination. Or that the Pentagon's playlist of torture music for use at Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib was, in reality, a juvenile attempt at satire. Terrifyingly, however, all this - and much more - is shown, as he says, to be true.

Ronson started out on his surrealist quest with a hunch. There was, he believed, some deep-seated irrationality at the heart of America's war on terror. Once he had this simple thought in mind, one thing led to another. It began with Uri Geller, who Ronson interviewed three years ago about his claims that he was a 'psychic spy' working for US intelligence. Geller led him to Stubblebine and Stubblebine put him in touch with Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Jim Channon, who first started the madness.

SNIP...

He slips, too, very skilfully between registers in tone. Ronson knows exactly what is funny - what other response is there to torturers with Fleetwood Mac CDs in their arsenal? - but he also knows when that laughter begins to look grotesque. His account of the use of the theme from the children's TV show Barney - 'I Love You', which, played on a loop, has been used to disorient prisoners - is one of the most chilling things I have read about the war.

9. Hmmm. Today it was announced that General Pete Schoomaker
Edited on Mon Sep-25-06 03:12 PM by bobthedrummer
had not submitted a 2008 budget for the Army. This is unprecedented.

General Schoomaker was mentioned in "The Men Who Stare At Goats" (ppg 159-162) and rumored to have considered bringing his friend First Earth Battalion's Jim Channon back as a consultant to a pproposed secret think tank.

One thing is certain-there has been no accounting for the incredible missing funds from the DoD budget. Not to mention the Black Budget. And General Schoomaker didn't submit a 2008 budget-he is seeking more money...

types that had influenced things like the Revolution in Military Affairs and especially "transformation".

Here's a transcript of remarks and a Q&A session given 1-31-2002 at Ft. McNair by Rumsfeld which was accompanied by many cheers, laughter and applause from some of the very people and groups written about by Jon Ronson.

Harlan E. Girard is another person that seems to have been warning the world in the early 1990's about the abuse of the technologies and tactics discussed in "The Men Who Stare At Goats". It's remarkable how he indicted G.H.W. Bush and James Baker then when they are very much in the news again. This was delivered to a NATO group at the University of Arizona 1-15-91

20. The denial of reality while being aware of the "influences" of covert operations
designed to break belief systems and replace them with others, moreover, in some "elite" populations to have the "product" available on demand to be utilzed by anyone that knows what cues to use...hmm...there's nothing fundamentally new about that at all, especially among authoritarian types and cultures.

The use of new technologies and tactics for "defense/military" is human history. Today this is privatized and outsourced and patented and "protected" by security classifications, compartmentation and lies.

Using Jon Ronson's book as an entry point into assessing some of the possible frameworks of failure available to the architects of the Decider's installed administration and the relative lack of organized opposition to them was a primary consideration in starting this thread.

Education about what is available for political control, control of behavior, control of metabolic functions and even our minds encounters a lot of resistance from preprogrammed societal structure maintainence barriers.

Enough philosophy-here's a bit more to consider about all these previously far-out whacko tin-foil politically incorrect but very real assets available to the Decider, his assets, competing enterprises, "rogue elements", etc.

22. The Nutty Professors: STAR GATE got reviewed by the CIA in 1995
Taxes (and other governmental support) went into a declassified psychic spying/remote viewing ESP program for 24 years it was reviewed and evaluated by the CIA which "contracted" something called the American Institutes for Research/AIR to do the "report.

You can't make this stuff up, and among other things are the academics, institutions and organizations mentioned in a criticism of the CIA AIR evaluation by Edwin C. May-who still is looking for psychics and was involved in STAR GATE for over a decade.

Condi's old haunts at SRI International were involved with this stuff as early as 1972, later on the criminals at SAIC took over. SAIC criminals indeed http://corpwatch.org/article.php?list=type&type=17

There are many other interesting details mentioned by Edwin C. May in this criticism of how the Pentagon, the CIA and a lot of other groups and individuals seemed to disassociate with the psychic stuff which has had many adherents historically.

This is worth reading, even though an initial excuse is that it's just the rant of an angry nutty professor of parapsychology-yet this is reality, it's where a lot of time and resources went for decades-and not only here but elsewhere in the world.

27. SecDef Gates DoD "demonstrated" some more of the operational DEW's
yesterday and had air force personnel playing the role of "rioters", just before OUR peaceful gatherings of protest this Saturday.

The term "non-lethal weapon" is often a lie when applied to many "new" ( new meaning operational- but not new at all, with a history of r&d that is criminal in many instances) types of weaponry, systems and related subjects that some of the links in this thread accurately convey-and which were "anticipated" by many of those interviewed by Jon Ronson.

I don't believe in coincidence theories, I stopped believing in them decades ago.

That said, see you in OUR streets this weekend of peaceful protest. Don't bring your tinfoil hats and don't be fearful of the "demonstrations" of directed energy tech in the hands of tyranny.

Yep, some of these black projects laundered money and are also where a lot of the BFEE's criminal hedge fund investors were steered.

A lot of this stuff is operational or has been contracted for. That means it is real, not a theoretical so-called conspiracy.

Moreover, when it comes to brain damaged veterans one would think that the DoD's investments in neuroscience, cognitive science and augmented cognition would be beneficial to them instead of the unacceptable treatment (and unethical research) they have received for years.

Is developing and equipping a First Earth Battalion elite worth more than caring for people???
