From Navy Times New reports cast doubts of justications for war
A new report from Senate Intelligence Committee casts continued doubts on the Bush administration justifications for going to war with Iraq.

The report, released Friday ,finds no direct connections between Iraq and the Sept 11,2001 terrorist attacks on the U.S..,and dismisses as unfounded pre-war statements by Bush admonistration officails about a supposed meeting between one of the Sept. 11 hijackers and an Iraqi intelligeance officail.

Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld had been amoung those trying to make the link. On Sept .26,2002,Rumsfeld said,"We have what we consider to be credible evidence that al-Qaida leaders have sought contacts in Iraq who could help them acquire weapons of mass destruction."

1. Remember, Navy Times, Air Force Times, Army Times...
...and Marine Corps Times are NOT affiliated with the military or DOD in any way. The general consensus in the military is that they publish "sensationalized" material
that may or may not affect the troops. In my own non-scientific survey, the Navy Times is right about 95% of the time.

3. Roger that Shipmate
As a retired old Fart, I enjoy picking up a Navy Times at the Naval Station 50 miles down the road every couple of weeks. There is no official oversight. Just like SGLI ain't a government insurance deal.

5. I've been seeing
some very "interesting" (questioning leadership and such) editorial cartoons in USNI Proceedings over the last year. It seems that all is not as Mr. Bush would like it to be.
