Reflections on 9-11

I kept asking myself, why are we in this? Why are we hated so much to cause people from half-way around the world to want to kill us? What is this madness and how can we make it right? Simple, stop trying to topple regimes, stop arms sales, and stop supporting Israel. Oh, and an apology to everyone we have hurt or killed from our actions would be nice too.

We are not in a “War on Terror”; we are at war with ourselves. The sooner we admit that our fantasy world of a Jewish/Christian state in Palestine is NOT pre-ordained, the better. Simply put those are their issues, not ours. They are not America’s issues.

Don’t get me wrong, it is important to help people who fight to cease and find peace. America should always be there with the world community to facilitate peace at all times. But why do we insist that we must sleep in a bed that others have made? It’s their fucking bed, not ours!

We have enough problems here in America, but do you have to sacrifice your freedoms because we are trying to help the people of New Orleans? No. It’s because of our pig headedness in supporting, to the end, with no review, another country on the other side of the world. America needs a 12 step meeting because our priorities are sick.
