Iran's leader calls for TV debate with Bush
POSTED: 1:51 p.m. EDT, August 29, 2006

TEHRAN, Iran (CNN) -- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has called on U.S. President George W. Bush to participate in a "direct television debate with us," so Iran can voice its point of view on how to end problems in the world.

"But the condition is that there can be no censorship, especially for the American nation," he said Tuesday.

The White House called the offer to debate Bush a "diversion" from international concerns over Iran's nuclear program, Reuters reported.

During a news conference in Tehran, Ahmadinejad also blamed "special concessions" granted to the United States and Britain as "the root cause of all the problems in the world."

1. Ahmadinejad, who actually has a sharp intellect, would wipe the floor w/ *
I'd pay big bucks to watch such an event -- which, of course, will never happen.

It was abundantly clear from Mike Wallace's recent "60 Minutes" interview with Ahmadinejad (despite Wallace's idiotic and robotic hammering on substance-free "conventional wisdom" talking points) that Iran's president is an educated man with a far keener grasp of geopolitics than the average brainwashed American -- not to mention our despicable idiot-in-chief.

So while it will never happen, it's a delightful fantasy. Our world would be a far better place if the American masses were exposed to worldviews outside the propaganda box in which we are all so thoroughly entrapped.
