Laws of change: Christian college hopes its students will change society.
A shiver went up my spine while reading this artice.

Laws of change

-snip-
With lessons resuming Monday and the inaugural class approaching the bar exam, Falwell predicts his graduates will be "counterculture lawyers" sent out like missionaries into politics, government and private practice.

"This school gives me an opportunity to study law from a perspective that recognizes the Bible as truth," said third-year student Daniel White, 25, who hopes to enter politics and worked last summer at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. "The Lord placed me here."

United by common values, many of these 160 evangelicals consider the law a career as well as a higher calling. Many want to stop abortion, reinstate prayer in public schools and ban same-sex marriage.
.
.
.
"We have a heavy commitment to the sanctity of human life, born and unborn. We will be trying to reconcile couples rather than help them get divorces," Falwell said. "We need Christian lawyers. -- We are to be the conscience of the culture and confront the culture when necessary. We will assist families giving birth to their children rather than aborting them. And we will attempt to overturn Roe v. Wade one day."

Falwell, who likes to use military symbolism, said his law school is dispatching fresh troops in the cultural wars.

"We're training lieutenants for the Lord," he said.

2. We have a heavy commitment to the sanctity of human life,
Ummmmmmmmm yeah, ok.....But what about the sanctity of life in illicit wars?
Lieutenants for the Lord? Does that mean conservative lawyers are playing God?
Goodness, sometimes these wackos make it too easy. If only the DNC and DLC would see it the same way.

3. these folks are going to create significant problems in the future.
falwell made a smart move when he created this place years ago.

it will go along way to creating or attempting to create that straussian concept of a ''vituous citizen''.

4. The only way the graduates will change the Law in the future will be if:
1. They become elected legislators and draft bills that will be voted into effect, on the Books so to say.

2. They become trial attorneys who argue their viewpoint through their clients and the judge adopts their argument and it is survives on appeal.

3. They become judges and rule in favor of other attorneys like them who argue in favor of their parochial viewpoints, either on the trial level or on appeal.

6. Oh, it's possible that they can do that, one law and one case at a time.
The thing that's ironic is that they are going to use the Constitution to destroy it.

7. Hitler used Germany's election system to destroy future elections.
Certainly these assholes will be able to use the law against the Constitution. This is what happens when whacko ideology trumps common sense.

8. You want a blueprint for how Falwell and his graduates are going to do it?
Hitler's Justice: The Court of Third Reich by Ingo Muller, translated by Deborah Lucas Schneider, Harvard College: 1991. This is the meat-and-potatoes of how Hitler "got away with 'it'".
