Congress shall not pass hypocritical gambling bills
July 8, 2006
Where and when congressmen Leach and Goodlatte attempts to empower the government of the decision making process on behalf of adult Americans will stop?

When will congress realize that these bills represent an open violation to adult Americans birth given right to decide how to spend their hard earned money and to dispose of their leisure time without the government having to decide on their behalf what is right (drive to the nearby Indian reservation Casino) and what is wrong (play online poker)?

When will the GOP realize that the Bonanno and Gambino crime families are rooting for gambling bills to become law, since their approval would preserve their business, whereas a legalized, regulated and controlled on-shore industry would represent a catastrophe for their pockets?

This hypocrisy has to stop. Not tomorrow, today. Is gambling really immoral? Fine, lets ban ALL forms of gambling, from state lotteries to horse wagering to land based casinos to online gambling. Hypocrites of course think otherwise. They want to empower the government to decide what is "good gambling" and what is "bad gambling". Forgive the prose but this is pure bull shit.
