Bush has seized more power than all previous presidents combined
The Bush administration is facing mounting challenges to the expansion of presidential powers that have been growing for the past five years, USA Today reports.

The newspaper cited numerous cases in which Bush has met recently with resistance, including the Supreme Court hearing a case challenging presidential war powers.

Bush has issued more than 750 signing statements in which he asserts constitutional authority to ignore provisions of new laws, which is more than all previous presidents combined, the newspaper said.

Accordingly, the American Bar Association's board of governors voted on Saturday to establish a bipartisan task force to investigate whether Bush has gone beyond his constitutional authority.
