LTTE: In Vt., more outpouring than outrage
Last week I posted in GD about an article in the Globe regarding a town in VT that passed a resolution to impeach Bush: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=692998&mesg_id=692998

Today there is a LTTE from one of the selectmen of the town:

(snip)
YOUR ARTICLE about local and national reaction to five Vermont towns' call to impeach President Bush tells half the story (''Small town provokes big outrage," Page A1, March 18). While reporting about irate calls and e-mails sent to Newfane, Jenna Russell neglected to mention the even greater volume of calls of support that came from across the nation, many from Republicans, veterans, and people who took pains to explain that they were not activists or ''lefties" but were citizens who were invigorated to hear that some towns were willing to call this administration to task.

1. I also thought the article was biased and one-sided.
I have no association with Newfane and don't care if they get support or not. But I posted when I first read the article how one-sided and biased it was. The news article by the Boston Globe emphasized the calls, e-mails and letters they got that were negative. It only interviewed people who were against Impeachment. Typical corporate media spin only acknowledging the side that supported their crazy king george. I'm glad this town selectman sent the letter but I noticed the Boston Globe had to mention that he proposed the vote for Impeachment. Trying to make it appear as if his opinion was as biased as their reporting. This Selectman has a better grasp of "fair and balanced" than the Globe does.

He sums it up with, "We would be better served if the Globe focused on the questions raised rather than a few irate responses."

2. Bush has broken just about every norm of civilized behavior
that you can think of. I don't know how any reasonable person could possibly continue to support him. I really don't.
