Don't know if this has been posted before but it deserves a encore.

FOX Ratings In Free Fall - O'Reilly Leads The Way Down

As we all know, the media is rampant with sycophantic, corporate shills and can't be trusted to deliver a pizza. But an interesting trend is developing that ought to shake their confidence in the suck-up school of journalism.

The just released February ratings (pdf) for cable news networks tell a tale that is decidedly downbeat for Fox News, the leader in propaganda programming. In a comparison with February 2005, the numbers for every network are up except for Fox. Details follow.....

This may come as some surprise to Bill O'Reilly who, in a moment of empathy for his competition at MSNBC, started a petition to replace Keith Olbermann with former MSNBC host, Phil Donahue. O'Reilly felt sorry for what he said was the net's poor performance. Never mind that Olbermann's show drew more viewers than MSNBC's conservative hosted shows. And I certainly doubt that Bill was just being indignant because Keith was being mean to him on a nightly basis. Now Bill has to swallow the difficult truth that Keith's viewership is growing while his own is shrinking. In the key demographic group of viewers aged 25-54, the Total Day ratings for MSNBC rose 47% while Fox declined -13%.

1. People are beginning to want
to see the truth. Or at least a broader version of it.

7. There are some people who are fueled by hate
And I truly believe it doesn't affect them or affects them less than other humans, but for most of us, you can only stay permanently pissed-off as a way of living for so long before it starts to take a toll on you.

8. I am proud to say I don't think I have ever watched Fox
except once, during a hurricane warning (I live on the Gulf Coast) they had WAY better graphics than any other channel.

But the guys everybody else moans about here, O'Reilly...never watched him.

But I do confess to reading Malkin and also FrontPage and I also read a lot of writings by Horowitz. He fascinates me.

I hope bots are tuning out the neo-con propaganda machine and deprogramming themselves.

5. Someone posted the raw numbers a few days ago
and it looks like Pox viewers are switching to MSGOP.

I'm not sure how much of an improvement that is, but I guess missing blondes will hold the public's interest only so long.

16. Unfortunately the Missing Blonde story still gets ratings at Faux
and ABC.

Thanks To Joran, Greta #1 In Demo
Last week, Primetime's exclusive interview with Joran van der Sloot gave the ABC newsmagazine its highest ratings in almost three years.

Now FNC's Greta Van Susteren is benefiting from the Joran effect: Wednesday's On The Record interview with the Natalee Holloway person of interest gave Greta the highest demo ratings in all of cable news. The program averaged 497,000 viewers in the 25-54 demo, topping The O'Reilly Factor and all the rest. In total viewers, Greta was second with 2,121,000 viewers -- substantially above her recent nightly numbers, but still 200,000 short of O'Reilly.

Part two of the interview aired on Thursday night...

Greta & Joran Do It Again
Following up on last night's ratings post: Viewers flocked to part two of Greta Van Susteren's interview with Joran Van der Sloot on Thursday night. (In retrospect, ABC should have aired a two-parter, too!)

For the second night in a row, On The Record was the most-watched show on all of cable news in the 25-54 demographic, with 539,000 demo viewers. She averaged 2,009,000 total viewers, up from an average of 1,268,000 in February. (By the way, she averaged 296,000 demo viewers last month.)

Here's an amazing stat: Greta had more demo viewers than all of CNN's primetime programs combined. She also had more demo viewers than any of MSNBC's primetime programs had total viewers...

> Tonight: PART THREE! FOXNews.com says: "Don't miss the explosive conclusion to Greta's one-on-one with Joran van der Sloot..."

See the movie: "Good Night and Good Luck". I've talked to more than a few people who are raving about it.

19. I have to strongly disagree with not trusting the
sycophantic corporate shills to deliver a pizza, I believe they could do it, just be sure to verify the price when you order, look in the box before you pay and don't turn your back to them.
