Nukes?
Iraq war supporters are quite able to understand how Iraq having nuclear weapons (what Cheney claimed) is not the same as Iraq "trying to develop nuclear weapons." Both are serious matters, but one was supported by the intelligence we had and the other was not (but it helped sell the war).

I am not going to call Allen Shirley's views radical. I think how we talk to each other is as much of the disagreement as what we say. I've been guilty of that myself. So I am just going to ask him to cite the appropriate government document that indicated Iraq had nuclear weapons prior to the war. Maybe then we can discuss how Bush determined that Iraq was "an ally of al-Qaida."

Many of you, since we are already in Iraq, wonder why this is important at all. I think politicians are like children. If your children are dishonest, does ignoring the behavior teach them accountability and good decision making? No, it teaches them it is OK to do it again.

At the bottom of the page you can submit your comments. Tomorrow I will get bashed big time (in the comments section on-line) by GOPers in this conservative part of the country.
