The average weekday circulation of U.S. daily newspapers fell 2.6 percent in the six months that ended in September, led by a 16.6 percent drop for The Chronicle.

The figures released Monday by the Audit Bureau of Circulation, which certifies the accuracy of sales figures, continues a long-term trend of flat to sinking readership.

1. Print rag
is having a hard time competing with internet news and cable tv - it's going to be bad for the big news moguls because internet news publishing isn't half as profitable as the printed version. Maybe this will change the tone on how the news is distributed and on what platform they decided to send it - honest or political skewed.:bounce:

2. Looks like they misunderestimated the literacy levels of the neo-cons
I un-subscribed from my local right wing rag years ago. And I can't imagine your average frothing freeper reading something when he can get exactly the same daily talking points from Rush & Faux.

4. Maybe if they weren't such lying whores for the most corrupt admin
that ever disgraced Washington D.C., they wouldn't be watching their futures going down the tubes as we speak. Intelligent people know they've been lied and are being lied to by the corporate news cabal.
