Friday's Neil Lisst Political Comic - the root of the problem

Today's Neil Lisst returns to the Plamegate theme of deep-seated corruption at the Bush White House, aided by pseudo-journalists who front for them. The new comic for today:

Next week we will follow this new theme to unveil the subterranean evil that IS the Bush administration.

1. I love it Neil!
"Subterranean Evil"
This is dead on. You may end up editing it to add another tree if they keep it up! Thanks for sharing. :)
Peace,
V

2. Thanks! We're branching out the other direction next week.
We will be similarly exposing the subterranean aspects of the White House relationship to journalists and war profiteers next week.

4. Bush is making a return visit next week!

And I think everyone at DU will really like how we have drawn Bush.

Let's just say he's going to look like DU sees him, not like he sees himself!!

6. Thanks. We have several big themes coming up.
We're going with the TREE motif for a few comics, then we will switch to another, but in between, we're working on something for the sorry state of Human Rights under Bush.

8. vickiss, I appreciate you!
Thanks.

We get a lot of views, a lot of readers, but not much actual positive feedback otherwise. People who hate you let you know, but usually people who like you just keep reading and don't say anything.

Yesterday was a day I couldn't really spend much time at DU participating in discussions. I like to use the comic to comment on various topics. Since we have comics about Cheney, Libby, Rove, et al., I can post said images in threads where they are relevant.

This week we went with the sort of silly look at Libby's dilemma while insinuating facts about the Scooter Libby case. I think a comic can't always be dark, but we're headed back that way for a while.

My Canadian partner in the comic wants to do something on the human rights angle, since that news is bigger now internationally than in the US. So, we start working ideas. I think I've got one, which I shipped to him last night. Once we settle on the idea, I'll write the script and conceive the presentation, then he draws it. Sometimes, it's perfect the first time. Sometimes, we never get the comic finished because we just don't get it the way we want it. We set those to the side.

10. Thank you for the kind words Neil.
I just feel it's important to let people know we appreciate their talents! We all need to support each other to help get us through all of this horrible mess.

I'll be around. Later.

Peace
V

15. We bumped the Karl Rove comic to Tuesday.
Edited on Mon Nov-07-05 09:17 AM by Neil Lisst
So we could run this one today, which is time critical:

Today's Neil Lisst political comic finds a Jeopardy question on notorious human rights abusers.
Can you answer this Jeopardy question?

vickiss,

Rove will be rolling over at the main page of our site at midnight central tonight.

16. Today's comic is a switch to Human Rights violations
Because it's timely and we wanted to comment on the US practices under Bush.

We will pick up with Rove tomorrow, in one that I love! I hope you all will, too.
