Newsview: Like Father, Like Son for Bushes
WASHINGTON - Throughout his first term, President Bush struggled to avoid repeating his father's mistakes. Yet less than a year after he claimed the re-election mandate denied his dad, he is confronting some of the same problems that bedeviled the first Bush presidency.

Like father, like son:

_Conservatives are rebelling.

_His poll numbers are in the basement.

_Economic unrest is growing.

_Top White House staffers are under fire.

"George W. Bush always wanted to be like Ronald Reagan, rather than like his father," said presidential historian Thomas Cronin of Colorado College.

But it was an aspiration that may have set him up for failure.

2. the crux of the similarity
It seems to me to be all three wanted/want to destroy this country in the guise of "protecting" it.

3. Whether you agree or not, Bush has been quite successful
He has via his policies, destroyed the New Deal.

This Nation-State has been effectively bankrupted.

What is even worse, is that the Rich no longer pay their fair share (?) of taxes; The middle-class is struggling and paying more and more, indirectly on the basics; And the programs for the middle-class and poor are being discontinued due to budget shortfalls.

And what is worse,

is

America, as a whole, voted for it.

Bush has made us one s--t sandwich that we are going to be tasting for a long time to come.
