Central Michigan University professor calls for Bush impeachment
From CMU's student newspaper, Central Michigan Life:

Impeach Bush for hurricane response
By Charles Novitski
Associate Professor of Biology
Guest Column

September 09, 2005

Hurricane Katrina’s devastation of Southern Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama and the flooding of New Orleans is a tragic national disaster of major proportions.

Unfortunately, it is also only the latest Bush administration disaster in it’s “too little, too late and ignore the facts” approach to governance.

<snip>

Bush should be impeached! He is totally incompetent. He could not govern an ant farm. He should be removed from office along with the equally incompetent Dick Cheney and Karl Rove. The American people should take back power. The Democratic Party should take the lead. We need a new, sensible, caring, thoughtful protective American progressive movement of the people to stand up to counterbalance those billionaires who are selfish and those multinationals that are uncaring, and to work for “we the people.”

2. all well and good, but we need Democratic leaders to stand up . . .
and demand impeachment hearings to begin ASAP . . . the Bush administration is an ongoing disaster, and everyone but the Kool Aid drinkers knows it . . . every day they remain is office makes it that much less likely that we will be able to stem and repair the damage they are inflicting on our nation . . .

my God, people, if this Katrina fiasco isn't grounds for impeachment, then what is? . . .

3. wondering what is, myself....
I hate to think of what it would take to get people to wake up, if this tragedy didn't.

I hate to think that something even worse than this, is going to have to happen to cause ACTION.

I write my leaders and let them know, if they don't kick this administration out on their ass then I'm kicking theirs out come "06!!... Bottom line, they think of themselves first.. THAT'S where you get them to take action... it sucks when you are unemployed and THEY may very well find out how BAD.

6. Instead of cries for impeachment, we will be fed the chorus "How great
thou art, how great thou art."

10. CMU does have an Office of Gay and Lesbian Programs
...which Bush&Co. haven't shut down yet. I'd think they'd be targeted first.
