U.S. Again Delays Decision on Sale of Next-Day Pill

By GARDINER HARRIS

.....The delay infuriated Senators Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York and Patty Murray of Washington, both Democrats, who had allowed the Senate to vote last month on Dr. Crawford's nomination as commissioner only after the health and human services secretary, Michael O. Leavitt, promised that the agency would decide on Plan B by Sept. 1.

"They broke their promise to Senator Murray and me, to the Congress and to the American people," said Mrs. Clinton, who described the decision as "outrageous," "disturbing" and "a wake-up call to everybody in this country."

Ms. Murray said, "A delay is not a decision."

The two women said they would demand hearings into the question........

7. This Is Why She Won't Get MY Vote!
No street smarts, and no honesty to the troops. We're still in Kansas, Hillary, and it's spreading like the Plague.

4. Hearings over a lie about the pill.
No hearings over the lies about WMD that cost how many thousands of lives lost & destroyed; no hearings about all the lies about environmental controls; no hearings about the involvement at the highest levels in the treasonous outing of an intelligence officer.

So she gets miffed over a broken promise about the pill?

I remember all too well the good old days before Wade - coat hangers and back rooms. But honestly, get a grip, Clinton.

6. This is getting so old. Wasn't Hillary duped over the Iraq vote too?
You know, there's a point where we have the right to ask whether these people are pro-active enough to lead us out of this mess.

8. I hate to blame the victim, but why did Clinton & Murray "believe" them?
Of course they didn't ever believe them. This is first class posturing on Clinton's part. She knew all along what these ass clowns are up to and who they answer to. She's simply putting the word out there that Republicans are liars who won't keep their promises or play by the rules. This will help to swing over a few more votes. Once again, we gat a blonde playing dumb while she's really being very very smart.
